Well I certainly could've had an easier introduction to my first tournament as those greens were a killer. Generally hitting approach shots to within 3-6 feet of the pin only to be welcomed by breaks that were so difficult to read. So on that note I'm happy with my total of -25.
Winds we more than kind too at an average of around 3-5mph. They needed to be too as strong winds coupled with those greens would make this course an absolute nightmare.
Would hazard a guess that a score of around -35 will take the CC-C trophy. Best of luck to all, especially any newbies like myself.

Green are a killer and -25? I'm on the wrong circuit Lol! The fairways are wide enough and the pin placements are generous too as there's little in the way to stop you getting relatively close. Based on the previous CC-C tournament (unfortunately I missed the deadline to register but played it anyhow as a practice run and finished on -24) then I'm hoping -25 will be good for a top 10 finish. Thing is, this is one of those courses where your scores really can vary from one round to the next. I really was fortunate with the winds too. I didn't want to play all 4 rounds today but when the speeds were averaging 3-5mph per round I didn't want to stop!

I've received a Sponsors Exemption to play in CC-C for this weeks tournament at The Homestead.
As you can imagine I was pleased about getting the chance to play at a higher level..... Well that was until I played a practice round, then another practice round.
I found this place tough. The greens especially. I'd be happy to get to -10 under this week but I doubt that'll be enough to keep me in CC-C.
Wish me luck folks, play well!

For this weeks? I always thought they were the following weeks? Nonetheless, good luck.

Not sure how I'll play this course... First practice round was -8, next one was -1...

Hhmmm,
I thought that HB had finalised the wind issue and we were all to experience the same wind.
I am in CC-E, and the wind was upwards of 15 mph and only got down to 8 mph, but rarely.? That was in my first round.
Kind regards to all,
oz

The fix is out while they fix it, Oz. So different winds this week..
And on a sour note this course hates me..
