I got the game on ps4 today and I'm disappointed in how bad it looks compared to my low end PC. Is this everyone's experience? Or is my bad internet to blame? I'm using the same internet on the PC (obviously), but sitting on the couch and playing on the TV feels like I'm sitting 3 rooms away. I can't really see the cup when I'm putting, the backswing just doesn't feel precise, and everything seems dark and muddy.
It is possible that it's just a case of needing an adjustment period?
Again, my PC is not a nice gaming unit.
I'm really disappointed that I downloaded the game -- I could have at least sold the disc.

Pretty much my experience too. Was a PS4 player, switched to a relatively modest gaming PC and now couldn't imagine going back to PS4 full time.
It wasn't so much how it looked, more the frame rate. Can pull 45-60 fps easy on PC. Game feels jerky as hell on PS4 in comparison.

If you think it looks bad on the PS4, thank the lord you haven't got it on XB1!
I've not actually seen the PC version with my own eyes but even when watching a compressed YouTube vid, you can clearly see how better it looks compared to the consoles.

I haven't played the PC but my PS4 seems to look good. Bigger TV compared to my smaller TV. On my 65" it looks really nice, my 40" not quite as good. Maybe cause on a PC you're closer to the action?

I don't have a PS4 but i do have a PC and XB1.
The PC out does the XB1 by a long way, it is nowhere near infact. (in my opinion)

I have played on all 3. Not even close. PC the clear winner.

When the new consoles were announced I didn't have that awe feeling - they were just as powerful as my 2-year old PC at the time. So it's been pretty easy to take a pass on this generation for me.

As a guy in the IT sector for the last decade, the last thing I want to look at is Windows when I get home. And I don't want to upgrade my PC every year. I know I'm losing out on power, but gameplay means more to me. The Xbox brings a little something different that helps me unwind after another tedious day of looking at a PC screen.

As long as I don't see anyone play live on PC right in front of me, I think I'm fine with my PS4. But I'm quiet sure it looks/plays (much) better on almost any half-decent machine compared to console(s).

On PC.
132 FPS, top end. 100+ FPS average.
That is all.

Obvious if it comes down to a PC to a console who i going to look the best. Some games are optimized to look really good on a PS4. Others, TGC, don't. MLB The Show, now that's a wowzer on the PS4.

I still don't think it looks bad on the PS4. But no doubt it's optimized for a pc.

Lol its not bad on PS4 at all and I know if I have the choice of a 300 quid ps4 or a 1,000 quid PC I'd take the PS4 anyday!

I was exactly the same Doyley, and for the price of a console I could upgrade my graphics and power supply. Maybe not a GTX970 but something that will significantly improve on my GTX660.
