Hey everyone. I just got PGA Tour 2k21 on November 10th and have been enjoying it. I started in Career Mode with Pro setting and joined a few Master swing societies. I just got a little bit of a predictable tempo down and just found this forum. Any suggestion on tours or societies to join on here for someone on the PC? Hi pcgolfplay, I listed some societies for Master difficulty in the following thread: tgctours.proboards.com/thread/26267/players-play-outside-toursCheers!

Hello All. PC (mouse and keyboard) player here. I just uploaded PGA 2K21 via Steam as it was 1/2 price and Steam gift cards were in abundance this year for Christmas. I am a long time player of Perfect Golf by Perfect Parallel on PC and a member of PGLS. I joined TGC Tours Beer League thinking it would be the same (and learning it is not quite the same). I'll be doing a ton of practice and getting through the learning curve before continuing any tournament play. I should have done that before joining a tourney, but alas I jumped in blind and will have a horrendous first tournament score. Oh well...nowhere to go but up, eh?

Hey! I'm James, Irish, and a PC PGA player. Hadn't played a golf game seriously in almost forever - Links 2003 I think was the last one I sank any significant time into, despite owning TGC 1.
I'd been watching some friends of mine play as part of TGC on Twitch, and decided when 2K21 came out, I'd try my best to get into it. So far, so good - Got qualified into CC-L after 5 events, and am on course to make my first 2 cuts in a row.
Didn't think I'd get this deep into a golf game, despite zero interest in real-world golf, but here we are! Look forward to playing every week, as I record my rounds for my YouTube channel also.

Hello. I'm Steve, from England and I'm a Blackpool Fc fan. Grew up playing golf at Royal Lytham so I'm a big fan of links golf and the Open Championship. Currently playing on CC-B and will be promoted to A after getting 4 up points in the 4 CC-B tournaments I have played. I play on PS4 as ste-bowzo if anyone wants to add and have a game.

Missed this Thread. Hello I'm Tyson from Portland, OR. Grew up playing golf around the PNW. Used to own old games but never one with a course builder. Recently bought Google Stadia on a whim on Black Friday and purchased PGA and course building has taken over! So it's good Stadia is in the tours yet because My game is poo poo but hopefully it will be sometime in the future and my game will be good enough at least for the Beer League haha
I'm an Architect, do a little graphic design on the side. Love my Portland Sports and a music junkie.
I just submitted my first course Trois Chutes D'eau Golf Club if anybody wants to give it a run and offer some thoughtsa on the thread in Completed Courses. Happy 2021 everyone!

Huh. Missed this thread all this time, even though I've been around the block for a while now. So, might as well formally introduce myself! This is gonna be long, you might have seen it already.
So hi, I'm Tomi. Finnish born and raised. Almost stereotypically, I enjoy sports (especially ice hockey/winter sports in general and Formula 1) and drinking coffee. Those are pretty much all I need to keep going. I'm also very introverted and shy, if you could even believe that with my presence over here.
Hadn't been much of a golf guy before aside from watching it during the Olympics I think? That at least had been always on TV here so might have checked that out when that was on. Through playing this game, I've been noticing that I'm interested in watching a bit more golf though, whenever I can or remember.
I have faint memories of playing some golf game around... 15 years ago maybe(?) before this game. I didn't know what I was doing then, sometimes I still wonder if I know what I'm doing in this game. I heard an acquaintance of mine being excited about this game when it was about to be released and then checking it out some day around its release. Looked enjoyable, so I thought "sure, why not?". Heard about the Tours around late September due to the start of this season, at that point shooting a steady average of +30 through four rounds in master settings. Gave this a shot after thinking it through a lot. Qualified to CC-J in week 3 (first actual week of play after the initial qualifier. I missed the first week of that so couldn't go through that instead) and haven't looked back since. At the time, I thought I'd be demoted like a rock right back into the quali pool with scores like that. As it turns out, using hindsight, that thought was veeeeeery mistaken. I haven't been even close to one demotion so far, let alone a single mark! I started playing True Sim some weeks ago, I'm not the greatest at that (surprise, surprise!) but after a few weeks of giving it a try, I'm starting to get a hang of that too.
Been up and down these first few months, been steadily getting the scores lower, getting slowly better and got promoted after last week for the first time. I try playing lots and lots of rounds whenever I can and what do you know, it actually helps a ton. Still managing to enjoy the game, which at the beginning I thought I'd be tossing aside after... maybe 50 hours? 100 max? But there's just so many ways to enjoy the game, courses to play, events and societies... I just really enjoy this community, and joining it feels like one of the best decisions I've ever made!
Also, if you ever run into me on here, this might be the usual length of my posts. I ramble a ton recapping how I've done, even though I actually try to keep it short! So, sorry in advance if that's not your thing!

Hey guys! I'm Tait from Indiana, and a PC PGA2K player. It's been a while since I've played a golf video game but I'm pumped to start playing competitively again!
I will say that this game and the "societies" are a LOT to take in and figure out where to start and how to navigate through everything. I played in a random society tournament over the weekend just to see what it was like. Let's just say my -7 score was good for last place. Haha!
If someone could give me a good breakdown of where to start with societies and whatnot I would really appreciate it. I play on PC but use a PS4 controller so I'm not sure if I have the optimal setup or settings configured right.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Figured it's time to introduce myself. (sorry didn't feel it's worthy of creating an entirely new thread so going to use this one lol)At 11:21 am January 2015 I joined TGCTours. So on my 6'th anniversary I will introduce myself. (kind of) lol 6 years and 281 events and I still suck and still stuck in CC lol Thanks for the site Doyley and gang. It's become my internet home. Posting at 11:21 am 2021 just for history sakes. <---it took me 6 years but I've finally used a smilie (spell check is failing me here) in a post

Welcome all new comers and those that have been around but never actually introduced themselves. Come to think of it, don't think I have! LOL I'm Jeff - been around since 2018 - think I'm playing about the same now as I was then - have some spurts of good rounds, but mostly just somewhere in the average range. I hail from just outside of Chicago - been a gamer since the days of Commodore 64 - I guess I'm an old fart now - just turned 50 in 2020 and with the same company for work 30yrs last year - boy how time flies!! Anyway, for those of you that want to sport a forum badge to show what tour you are currently on - check out this thread.. instructions on how to put it on your profile are pretty simple - though works best if you do it from PC or the 'web version' from your phone rather than the mobile version (button at bottom to switch views).. Enjoy! tgctours.proboards.com/thread/16825/get-forum-tour-badge?page=1

Hey all, I am Andy from Indianapolis, Indiana. I'm a married guy with 4 kids, 3 of which are now legally adults (so weird...). I used to play the old TW games on PC and PS3 back in the day, but for some reason I decided to pick up 2k21 this year. I'm glad I did. Shortly after buying it, I found Canuck's tutorials, along with B101, MattF, and others and I'm now obsessed with trying to get better at designing courses. I play a little too, though not nearly as well as I'd like. I'm currently in CC-L, and have played just one event since qualifying last week. I made the cut, but I'm just kind of in the middle of the pack. Trying to get better, trying to finish my course, and already trying to come up with ideas for what I want my next course to look like. This game definitely has me hooked!

Hey all- this TGC community is amazing! Got the game about 2 months ago, and honestly it has been a god send. I don't say that lightly. Just as I was starting to tinker with course design I got Covid. Health wise it was a tough January. 50th b-day was Jan 6, yes the day of the Capitol insurrection, also the same day I got test results for Covid. I'm mostly recovered now although other members of the fam are unfortunately still struggling. Not a good start to 2021! Back to the point - this game has been a very needed distraction. Honestly therapeutic for me. While I was couped up and sick it is pretty much all I did. Watch Canuck videos on design and started spending way too much time worrying about details no one but me will very see!!!!
So I'm about to publish my 2nd course, and curious to get feedback from this community on how / where to get it seen. I'm thinking feedback on my first course would be helpful. I'm not dillusional, I've seen the incredible work of some of these top designers and I know I am not there. But I do love the process and I'm getting better.
Anyway if anyone wants to check out my first course, ( the covid one). It's called "The Quarry Ridge, Vermont". I published 3 versions, the final is the one that starts with "The".
I think it's a good challenge, but fair. You'll need to be able to handle some big elevation, and yes some greens are tricky, but I try to pay attention to fair pin placement. I'm an avid golfer lifelong, and I like making realistic courses.
The Quarry Ridge is supposed to give the feel of a classic mountain resort ( Vermont). If you get in the right spot you might catch a view of the old abandoned Quarry that once carved out this land..
Hopefully I'll get some constructive comments I can use for course 2! Either way my thanks to this community, I think I found it at the right time....

Hi everyone. Just getting into PGA2k21, after a hiatus on golf games since Tiger Woods... when looking for courses to play and things to do stumbled onto this community, looks like a good place to hang while I'm into golf again. I've got a long history of golf games and course creation, all the way back to Jack Nicklaus Signature Edition, if anyone else remembers back to then... had a ton of courses back in the day. I just finished creating my first course in 2k21, so hopefully will keep doing so. I'll be starting a thread for my course work in the appropriate forums, so look for them there.
My first course is Red Spine Golf Club. (I didnt realize that making an adjustment wouldnt over write my original, so there are 2 currently, though I have submitted a ticket to 2k/HB to remove the duplicate. hopefully they take it down.. (thats pitiful BTW, you should be able to manage the courses you release, if nothing else it could clean up some of the test junk people put out there). Both are the same, just weather was changed, as I had midday/clear for designing, but prefered an afternoon cloudy look for the final. So other than weather they are the same.)
Edit: BTW I'm Brian

Shame on me, of all people, for not realizing this existed. I know many of you have your preconceived notions of me and I don't want to ruin that for you. So I've decided we'll play this MadLib style, as to not tarnish the narrative and hatred you have for me. I. E. I give you 2 options, one is true, one is not - you get to pick; numbered so you can even keep track! Simple game.
I grew up the son of ¹ (the largest cattle ranchers in the state / a working girl ). Because of it, I have a predisposition for ² (substance abuse / hard work) that has gotten me to the point I'm currently at. By the age of sixteen I was on the top 100 list by state for ³ (the FBI / MLB prospects to watch). By eighteen, I was off to ⁴ (college / prison). My second year there I blew ⁵ (sooooo much coco / out my shoulder). I looked to golf after recovering. I fell in love with the game of golf because ⁶ (of it's lucrative gambling opportunities / uhhh I was really good at it.) Since picking up the game I have multiple ⁷ (arrests / club championships ) under my belt. Each leaving me with a hunger for more - that I just can't stop. I have ⁸ (no children / a kid to every trailer park babe in my county). After a hard day's work ⁹ ( slangin rock / working towards my principals cert and helping feed our country) I like to go home and de-stress by ¹⁰ (designing some courses and annoying hardo's / taking it out on my wife).
I hope you've had fun getting to know me. I hope some of you are able to keep your distain for me. Absolutely feel free to write in your choices below.
Cheers.
