I knocked out 4 rounds in breezy conditions (12 - 17mph) with varying degrees of mediocrity so I won't be troubling any leaders this week!

Okay... finished my tournament yesterday: Rd1: 60 (-12) Rd2: 59 (-13) Rd3: 62 (-10) Rd4: 60 (-12)
Total strokes after 4 rounds: 241 (-47) After my T28th at the U.S. Open, I was luckily able to keep my current form and finish with four quiet decent rounds of golf (bogey free through the tourney). I'm still not capable of going with the very best guys we have on Tour here, but the gap is actually getting smaller. So I'm quiet happy with that. I'm still loosing a few strokes per round on the putting surface (compared to the top players), but it has improved drastically the last 2-3 weeks. Hopefully -47 will be good enough to finish within the Top25 of the leaderboard. We will see... Edit: Had 7-15 wind in three rounds, and just a little less in Rd2.

I'm having greater and greater difficulty giving a hoot about tournaments with the current wind model. Never saw a wind speed under 12mph in my first two rounds, and it got as high as 19.

My winds 8-11 two days, 3-7 one day, 9-12 the last. The wind cant come quick enough. This next lil fix coming is really supposed to improve TGC. Getting better with time and experience. The tour has really improved since week 1 adapting and changing as we go. Cmon wind

Pretty gutted dude.
-9 after round 1, winds were about 9mph, and I had just got home from a real golf trip, still buzzing a little bit tipsy and I couldn't miss a thing. But seeing as it was fairly late I played round one and one hole of round 2, sitting at 10 under after 19 holes.
Well I decided to play round 2 with no practice whatsoever and a few beers already chugged back. First hole (2nd hole really) double bogey. Oh noes. After 5 holes I have wrestled the score back to even par. I couldn't sink a putt. Not a bloody thing. Get to hole 16 and I am 1 under for the round, 10 under, Im trying real hard to find some form like the other day - double bogey. OH NOES. Par, par to finish out my scorecard at +1 and -8 overall.. Check the forums scoreboard and see Im 1 possibly 2 shots outside the cut. Proceed to remonstrate with myself for next 20 minutes, vowing that this game is H@X and then rage quitting.
But I will still tee it up next round.
Good luck to all that made the cut.

Missed the cut by 1. Hugely frustrating as I left so many shots out there especially on the first round just through bad putting. I did all 4 rounds and finished with 58-61 with wind slightly stiffer than the first 2 rounds. Damn.

So, strange week for me this week! Rounds 1/2 were rather uneventful, rolling in with -9 and -10 respectively which at the time I was ok with! I Was pretty with those rounds in 5-8 mph winds. But then it was what I expected as it reflects very much how I've been playing, no fireworks but doing just enough!
So then rounds 3/4 happened and I reminded myself that with very little thought I can score with the best of them. -14 and -15, the best 2 rounds I have put together this year but I managed to come away disappointed! I know in both of those rounds I left shots out there, over both rounds I missed 3-4 easy putts again in 5-8 mph winds.
So having missed The Masters, The US Open and now The Open I have very clear goals, The PGA Championship and getting into the World Top 100. It's been slow going but I want to thank my 2 Ghost Ball buddies, Mr Gary Best and Mr Jules Powell. I Ghost with you guys week in and week out and if I'm competitive with you guys then I know I'm doing pretty good, cheers guys!
Top 20 and it will be a good week.

Just finished my last two rounds -14 and -16. I left way too many shots out there, both rounds should have been -17 or -18, it was just little stuff like putts stopping an inch or less from the hole (had 4 like that for some reason) and 2 missed putts of under 5 feet. My own fault.
-54 for the final score. Should have been closer to -60 as my first two rounds really sucked.
Good luck!

Well done, Ron!
