I bought this game today and I love it, but I have a few questions:
1) I bought the "Collector's Edition" and it says to unlock the Collector's Edition check out the seasons. I have played the beginner season, but have not seen anything. Am I missing something?
2) Putting - Specifically long puts. I'm fine on the puts from close up to 15 ft. It's the really long ones I'm struggling with (35+). I know I'm not going to make a great deal of these, but I would like to get it close. I seem to leave the put WAY short and end up having to 3 (or 4 or 5) put.
3) I really like all the options when it comes to courses. Its a lot of fun playing different courses. I have played Augusta, Isla Madeleine Resort, and a few of the Official GC ones. What are some course you guys recommend? Real and Fantasy.
4) How do I put spin on the ball? I can't find that option anywhere.
5) How do I upgrade my golfer? Different clothing (shirt, pants, etc.) Is it possible to boost driving distance and things like that or is that just TWG?
I thought I was ready to try Q-School, but that is not the case. Shot a +26 on the first round. I will play a lot more, before trying that again!!!
Thanks in advance.

1. You already have the Collector's Edition. I think that message just shows for everyone. 2. I'm not the greatest putter but I can say that lag putting does take some practice. It's not really supposed to be easy. Check out the driving range forum for some tips. 3. Check out the course listings. Lots of really good courses there. 4. The more loft you have, the more spin you'll create. There is no spin button like TWG. 5. There are no golfer upgrades, you can, however, change the appearance of your golfer before a round by selecting the edit golfer option when choosing your golfer.

Welcome. Take a shot at the q-school. Many of us were in same boat at the start. There are plenty of tours where you can be at with players of your skill set. This is the best place to be. Enjoy.

One key to help on putting, for every inch uphill, move the aiming mark back that many feet. And move it a foot closer for every inch downhill the putt is. This will be a better way to help with some speed control. But mastery will come with time and practice

A few i wanted answers to also. My advice go ahead and d w school. You will compete against your same skill level. Plus you can always move up as you get better. Practice, practice, practice! On your course question, go to the course section on the main page. There you can sort through all courses on here and even read reviews before playinfg!

Ya'll have convinced me, I'm going to try and knock out the Q-School today, score be damned! Go for it. I was shooting in the 90s and 100s in Q-school. Then finished dead stinking last (by quite a margin) in the first official tournament on the lowest tier. Now I've been shooting under par pretty much every round on the Champions Tour courses and have even been right around par on the harder courses in US and British Open qualifying. I'll never win a tournament but I've gotten a lot better. Just takes time.

Welcome to the site! This tour is a lot of fun, and theres plenty of people here that will answer any questions you may have about the game itself, or course designing.

Just finished Q-School. Man that was not pretty! Looking forward to my first event. Those courses are meant to be hard. It won't be like that on the tour you end up being on.

Just got my CC-D card. Registered for the next two events, unfortunately missed the cut off for the event this week.
