Just finished rounds 3 and 4. Started round 3 birdie, eagle, birdie and raised my expectations. Then proceeded to play poorly. Winds were between 9-12mph throughout but it was my poor putting which let me down. Usually a confident putter but lost my mojo after 4 putting the 8th on round 3 and from there it was downhill. Some of the pin placements require defensive putts indeed and if you're not putting well it makes the course a lot tougher than you think. dude that sucks. this course will eat you alive if your putting is slightly off, and combine with with high winds and you get my round 1! LOL. hopefully round four will be as kind as round 3 and I can place a top 30 LOL. That 78 in the first round really screwed me over. Nice shooting Luke

Just finished it up. I was able to reach my personal goal of -20 for the tournament which would have been the best in my short TGCT career. I went 68-68-70-64 to get to -22.
I'm happy with my outcome and hopefully it keeps me within the top 70 but it might be close. If I can get more puts to fall like they did in round 4 then I might be more competitive and can stay in CC-A and work on moving up.

One thing you have to remember to do is factor in roll. I had a hard time breaking the -4 to -6 round until I figured out the roll out on irons for different firmness and clubs. Once that gets dialed in, then you are making it a little easier with those 7-15 footers on a regular basis. Now I completely suck at wind. Sometime I play too much and sometimes I play too little and the uneven lies in the fairways can cause me to miss horribly! But that is why I like this game because you can always improve. good luck!

Round 3. -9 after 17. On the fair way on 18. Slightest of fades on the cone and it sent the ball in the water! Lost my head completely and ended up with an 8 so -6. About to play round 4 and get it out the way. Got a week off after this, think I need it!

Round three brought another improvement and a bit of normality to my score card. Again it could have been better if I could find that sweet spot with the putter but I will take any improvement I can get at this stage. My approaches were a lot better this time round, that has always been a strong part of my game and it was nice to see it come back a little. Nine birdies this round but again the same two holes caught me out, the seventh and twelfth. Any missed putt on those two holes seem to travel a fair bit, you think I would have learned by now but nope, same mistakes. Still, seven under is better than my first two rounds combined and got to be happy with that. It would be nice to improve again on my last round but more importantly, I am feeling better about my game than I have been for weeks. As usual, good luck everyone that has rounds to play. I am off to annoy someone on the playstation, if your on my friends list, watch out!

Thanks. I am usually pretty consistent. My handicap in the game is +4 and that is usually what I'm around. I'm decent at approach shots and usually have a good look at an 8-17 ft birdie but usually just miss them. I don't three putt too often but I will two putt a course to death.

I was gutted with my -29. Thought I'd under performed big time but seems it was deceptively hard this course. I think I missed 4 nasty 5 footers (A Dennis Wise putt for you English guys out there) on the 18th alone during the 4 rounds. +2 for the 18th for the tournament. What did everyone else hit on this hole?

What did everyone else hit on this hole? I'm pretty sure I had a par every round on 18. I always found myself above the hole with a good 15 ft for birdie. I thought it was funny that I birdied the first hole in rounds 1-3, but had to settle for a par in the 4th round (my best round) after putting from the fringe and hitting the flag stick.

Greetings, I've just played the first round of my first TGC tourney ever and managed to post a very lucky -9. My many practice rounds usually came in at around 4 under, so I was ecstatic after a sweaty-palmed, white knuckler of a first round. I honestly don't think I can keep that up, but like all of you, I'll give it my best shot. If I have any advice, it's this......watch the downhill putts. I can't putt to begin with, so a heavy hand just makes it worse. I just retired and have got plenty of spare time to enjoy some spirited competition and new friendships. Best of luck to everybody, and if you're from Wisconsin, say hi. Ike

Hey guys, new to the tours and boards. I'm in CC B following the shake up and this is my first proper tourney. Had an appalling Swindon Downs qualifier so was itching for this one! I know everyone has mentioned the lag - it took forever to load the course for me, on ps4, and yes, I had loads of re-swings. I recognise some of your names from the ps4 leaderboards. You're all very good! I'm hoping I've done enough for an exemption but not sure it'll make much difference come the Homestead. Struggled a bit. And I can't get the knack of putting still. Missing way too many short sitters!!! Anyway, best of luck

What did everyone else hit on this hole? Same here, felt like I could and should have been 10 shots better at least. 18th hole: Par, Birdie, Triple Bogey, Birdie That last birdie was amazing if I do say so myself. Was edge of the green for 2, had the dreaded 25yd pitch shot to make which I ballsed up. So I was left with a putt from front of the green up a nice big hill with plenty of right-to-left when it got up there. Hit with anger, it reached the top, and then sloooooowly made its way left into the hole. The love and hate of this game all in 2 shots.
