This was my first web.com tournament after taking a voluntary demotion from the European tour.
I shot 64-63-65-64. -32 total. I definitely left a lot of strokes on the greens. I'm feeling confident that I'll make it to the weekend. I think the winner is gonna go really low this weekend.

Earned my Web-A card last week so need a good tournament here to try and push for a Web.com card ahead of the reshuffle. 65-63 start which should have been 4 or 5 shots better. Think I may just end up on the CC-A. Be fun either way. Should hopefully make the cut on -16.

Playing an exemption this week. There's only 4 of us, so if I make the cut I've got a chance. It's going to be tight though, & I blew it on R3 putting my ball in the water, & hitting the bunkers like I was on Blackpool beach.
R1 - 66 R2 - 66 ------- -12 for the cut ------- R3 - 73 R4 - TBC

67 and 64 for me. That'll hopefully be enough for me to make the cut before the big reshuffle. It can be hard to keep the balls on the greens here. One of the par 3's seems to be impossible. I've not seen one ball stay on the green in all of my rounds playing against ghosts. Apart from that it's a fairly easy course with plenty of birdie opportunities.

Yep, the course plays too firm for forced carries into small greens. Would be better at a softer firmness. Ah well it is what it is for every player I guess.

Generally the greens are too firm but most holes give an opportunity to get close other than the par 3 I mentioned. Slighly softer greens would make a difference, it is a difficult balance though.
I was playing with your ghost on round 1, infact I caught you up by the end. We were level going up the 18th but I bogied and then I notice you birdied it! I wasn't pleased with that. :-)
What's it like stepping up from Web -B? It looks like generally winner/cut is a few shots lower but the best players in Web-B are much better than the medium and lower playesr i n Web A.

I noticed your good score on the leaderboard, shame about the 67 then. It was looking really good. We should be okay for the cut though hopefully. I'll probably play the last 2 rounds tonight. I seem to get better with a few drinks so might have to drink on a Monday!

Yeah I play turn based live with my mate who plays on web-b so you would have caught me up. The course is solid but 2 or 3 greens the firmness it does not suit. The par 3 6th being the obvious one as its next to impossible to hold. Anyway, I've spoken too many times about my distaste :-p In terms of the step up, I finished 5th in my first week and my highest finish in B was 13th. I put it down to a bit of a freak week with the winds and it being on a course I enjoy immensely. Should make the cut this week also with -16. Theres probably people that should be in B that are in A and vice versa so there's not that much difference other than you've really got to be out the gates fast to make the cut as its 2 or three shots lower. Think you'll start seeing bigger differences in the step up once the challenge circuit is in full swing. Web.com (Web-A) will be a lot tougher I should imagine whilst obviously the bottom tier CC-Z (Champs-B) will be a lot weaker. I have a feeling I'll be on the CC-A.

Yeah, that was a pretty amazing start for you here last week. I really should have asked for demotion but I always hope for that week where all 4 of my rounds match my best practice round. It just never happens! Hopefully each tier will be much tighter than it is now.
I don't know where I'll go but it won't be Web A, hopefully I'll be in the same tier as some of the guys I've been looking out for on this fourm like yourself but I have a feeling I'll be below. My average is 67, yours is a couple below that.

You're probably looking at my web-a average which is just last weeks tournament. My web-b average is 66.3 (not sure if that includes US Open) so I should imagine we could be in the same group.

Oh yeah, that's right. I think mine includes US open too. So we may well be, CC-A you think then?

Depends where the cut off point is I guess. I should imagine either the same group or you just miss out of the group I end up in. Should be exciting and groups should be tighter which will breed competitiveness. I know in B for example at Oakmere I probably didn't try my hardest as I put my effort into US Open qualifier that week whilst knowing that I'd make the cut easy but not challenge at the top. After the reshuffle I should imagine you'd have to be on your game to make the cut in web whilst you'll be striving to hit top 5 in CCA whilst be weary of finishing below the top 70. Looking forward to it.
Also, the average doesn't include US Open, just checked.

Well we'll find out soon. Every week will be important. Sounds like it's going to be even more exciting. My nerves won't be able to take it. It'll be good not having cuts too, I miss far too many!
