I bought a Gamesir pad with hall effect sticks and it's a great controller but it just doesn't play well with PGA Tour 2k23. I'm no Elite player but I can hit perfect tempo and blue lines just fine on a 1st party XBOX pad but the hall effect sticks register nothing but maxed-out Very Slows. Like, there is clearly something off. The only way to not get maxed-out slows is to avoid going to the housing on the backswing, just nudging it enough to get the power meter going but then I'll get maxed-out Very Fasts on the downswing. I don't feel like going through calibration since I'd rather go back to standard analog sticks but my one question is:
If you don't personally play or know of how hall effect works in this game, don't bother speculating. If you got something to say about XBOX controllers, don't care. Just wanna know if hall effect sticks actually "work" in this game.

You have to go through calibration if you have a naturally slower tempo, as like the Razer Wolverine V2 a faster swing is needed than the stock Microsoft controller you are used to. You also find that PS controllers need a faster tempo. This is not to do with Hall effect stick from the Gamesir but it's higher polling rate and lower latencey of these controllers.

I got one of the Gamesir controllers a while back thinking it could be more precise. It's the opposite. Even after calibrating it a few times it still just isn't good for 2K23. Went back to Xbox controller.

Went back to Xbox controller. sam In my experience the Xbox Official controller is by far the easiest to hit straight lines by quite some distance for me so legend swing is the great equaliser in that regard. The Gamesir, Wolverince and DS4 and DS5 are WAY WAY WAY better for consistent tempo. That Microsoft controller is an absolute shitshow for consistent tempo in this game.
