Dear TST enthusiasts, I've taken a bit of a risk this week with the course selection. In an effort to stick to the IRL PGA schedule, I picked a version of the Champions course at PGA National that is less polished, less sophisticated than the one I used last year, because the latter is no longer available in-game. I feel this year's version still plays well, especially the greens provide the type of challenge that I wanted for this tournament. It's a tight line I am walking here though and if you feel I've taken it a bit too far by using this one, let me know (so I can take that into account for the remainder of the season). Anyway, make sure you wear proper spikes - greens in the latter rounds are slightly slippery... Have fun and good luck, Frans

2nd Round - dumped 2 in the water on 17 for a quadruple 7, then holed out for an albatross 2 on 18! Silly game! 😆

Made very hard work of that with a waterball-induced double bogey in the first round and four (!) slow tempo-induced bogeys in the second:
Round 1: -6 Round 2: -2

Click bait tactics to drive engagement! 😏 (joking obviously lol)
Played first round there. Course is absolutely fine mate. I see what you mean it’s a little rough around the edges looks wise (and seeing the water in the book) but playability wise it’s really good. Enjoyed it.

63 first round, bogey-free. Nailed everything.
73 second round, couldn’t get used to the rapid greens. Still adjusting to pga2k23 and it’s bizarre physics.
83 third round, still struggled with the green speeds mixed with two balls in the water on a par-4 which gave me a 10.
Long story short, I’m shiiiiiit.

R4: 7 birdies but also dropped 7 strokes to end with a 70.
63/73/83/70 (+9)

7 Birdy 1 bogey round 3 followed by a -5 last round with 2 waterballs from absolute brain farts. 17 under for the tournament not bad considering my first round

Two more bogies in the final round but solid stuff overall on tricky greens… would really like another go at the second round…
Round 3: -6 Round 4: -8 Total: -22
Worried that I’ll be back at the place where top dogs humiliate wannabe-top dogs next week… 😂

-2, -2, -4 because the swing was awful and putts were too.
Nothing eventful at all, 4 putt on the second hole, couple other bogeys for R1 and 1 double in R2. That's about it.
Course played fine I thought. The shallow water that doesn't really show itself too well in the book (it does show where it is but just about, not all that well) might be the only thing I found even a tiny bit distracting. Especially on 11th I felt where you're pinched between the 2 water spots off the tee (can't see left side at all, just about can spot the water off the right) and then the green is real close to water on approach (especially R1 pin)... although since I only hit the ball about 240 yards to the fairway both times it was no issue. I may have taken it a little bit too carefully but oh well. Outside that little bit, no real complaints... yet.
Cheers, good luck.

If you would have gone into last seasons Florida National Classic Event at TGC Tours True sim,you could have selected course details and Favourited the course and it could have been used, Still never got down to why it was removed but with a bit of time and effort can still be played in 2k23.PS not sure if its HB/2k removed it or TGC tours have to stay in there good books,i will remove this if thats the case.
