Hi guys, Been quite some time since I’ve delved into the designer however I’ve been inspired of late with the Victorian Mornington Peninsula courses. In particular the 3 layouts of The National at Cape Schanck which are all spectacular in their own right and the WIP I’ve started will take in some of all 3 aswell as Moonah Links and The Dunes. I don’t have a timeframe but it’s coming along nicely so far with 6 holes laid out and a few starting to take shape with planting and so on.

Looks good !! The contrast of greens and browns and the low lyting vegetation looks very Mornington Peninsula. Not sure about the big windmill though.

Moonah Links has that pissy windmill in the fairway on the 10th and I wasn’t going to mimic that. My other idea was a small homestead overlooking the cape that would be a bit more discreet and work nicely too, the windmill was obviously a very quick exercise to tie in but it’s a bit too in your face. Thanks for calling out the windmill. I’ll mess with the homestead idea I reckon 👍

My idea is for the first 6 holes to be in the style of the Old course, the middle 6 holes to be in the style of the Moonah course and the final 6 holes to be in the style of the Gunnamatta course

Getting those 3 very distinctive courses to appear cohesive will be a challenge. Will follow with interest. Happy to play test is needed.
