Played three practice rounds and all were between +6 and +9 with at least 4 water balls on each. Sand saves and putting were lights out but did not carry over to my actual round. Ended up with a +7 after 1 water ball, a handful of lip outs including back to back on #4 and only 1 lip in. Landed in 4 or 5 green side bunkers and each took at least 2 shots to get back onto the green. Only missed 10 putts but my bunker game sunk this round. I wasn't able to quite put together a complete round but I think a lot of that is getting used to how unforgiving Legend is and not being so aggressive hunting pins. The pitches and flops continue to be my weak point. It took until this most recent season to really dial them in on Master so just need more reps on Legend. Restarted my career on these settings and was able to shoot a -4 at TPC Boston during Q school. I feel like I have found a whole new game with these settings! Looking forward to the rest of the season. That's great shooting Nate especially after spending a little time at the beaches ⛱️ sounds like you've got the putting down which is great . I struggle with pitches on legend and I tend to try and leave full wedges into greens . Flops are difficult also I only use from bunker and heavy rough around greens if the chip isn't an option. Great to see yer enjoying it and playing career mode is a great way to practice them settings .With your last paragraph i hope tgc tours admin read it . We also have a discord where we're all chatting and trying to get our sim community together . Nice one 👍 I was finally getting the hang of Legend swing in TST then missed a couple weeks because school got busy and the swing was changed back. I'm now confident enough in partials and pitches on Master after a year or two of mostly leaving full iron approaches. Going to have to switch back to that mindset in these ultra sim leagues until I become robotic with my tempo and swing plane. Those very fast/slows and swing plane misses are brutally punished (as they should be) on Legend. Not sure how many more Ultra sim leagues I have time for at the moment, I'm in my last year of Dental School and take my written boards in September, but I'll definitely be checking them out. Watching everyone else play has dramatically improved my approach and shot selections.

Lay back off the tee on short to medium P 4's (except those that are reachable). Avoid those partial pitches as they are tough to get close to perfect. To me a 100-120 yard full swing is much easier to pull off than a 52 yard partial pitch.

Finished at +4, getting closer to reaching even and breaking par. Bogeyed the first two after putting both drives behind trees, then missed 5 and 6ft gimmes later but fought back to a -1 after sinking a 30ft putt on 9. Melted down a bit on the 10th. Missed the fairway and the huge roll out. Still got on in 2 but left a 40 ft with 5ish feet uphill put that I absolutely slammed up the hill then right back down. Ended up 5 putting for a triple bogey. Missed on the edge of an 8 foot putt and left a couple approaches way short for 2 putts. Missed 14 putts but 4 of them were loooong misses on the 5-putt 10th.
Did a pretty good job of keeping full iron and full pitches for approaches. The only times I got dicey were long chips out of the heavy rough and trying to flop uphill which never works. Going to take some more practice to avoid the blowup hole that has cost me in each of my tourney rounds. One tournament it was due to water, another was bunkers, this one was forgetting how to manage weight on putts. Just need to get a little more consistent.https://tgctours.proboards.com/post/new/34587

Anyone looking for any extra ultra true sim fun head over to the Santuary run by longpole, cross platform also with some fun points scoring system coming, riding solo at present on the PS leaderboard so would be good to get some more on there if you fancy it 👍

Been trying to set up Twitch earlier to convert HDR to SDR and just could not get it to work. So back to YouTube record and upload. But seen as YouTube takes an absolute age to process 4K I am dropping down to 1080p from now on. Ontario is a course I really like with a fantastic par 5 18th hole . Played pretty solid but not as good tee to green as last week where the 9 on that par 3 third destroyed my scorecard. Just the 1 dropped shot at Ontario but some really good chipping for a super reliable scrambling game. A few floppy thumb approaches which results in a big pull for me. I do like to hit that in to out fast drive which results in a draw or big draw and is quite a reliable shot. 3 under and just had a really fun immersive round of digital golf, even though it was solo with no ghosts this time.

TAN 39: Club Montecampione
Scratch CompetitionClub Montecampione brought up some surprising scores as it is a course with a bit of bite, especially the par 3 3rd hole. But Hendomedes brought his triple A game and produced a sublime score of 60 (-10) for a comfortable victory. xLIFTINGx takes 2nd place 4 strokes back and horusphoenix 3rd a stroke further back.
