Nonsense mate. Well deserved and we’ve all been there. Feels great when it starts to click. Feel free to fire a message if you ever want advice or anything but if the scores are dropping probably best to just let it happen. Nice one 👍 I will also point out AJI's 74 for a 15 under 55 net total is the lowest ever below handicapped single round score ever on TAN I believe. Broken Locket is a great and challenging course and a 74 (55 Net) there shows someone who struggled early doors is really getting the feel for TAN. That should be commended in my book, like you said Craig very well deserved and this is what the spirit of this society is all about.

TAN 33: Green Eagle Porshe NordHCP CompetitionAJI-2K makes it 2 in a row with a 1 stroke victory over geordieboy85, a nice 3rd place finish from BKS Games.
Not sure how deserving I really am of those wins lol, but nonetheless it is nice to be slightly improving with legend settings and getting a little bit more consistent when I do find some time to play. This is the whole point of the hcp system which is great, if you play well your hcp will always make you feel like you have a chance against the big lads, and over time this will change depending on your score. This is not called TAN for nothing, it can destroy you if you switch off and so rewarding when you knock a good shot / putt / scorecard in, well played fella 👍

Cheers guys, really appreciate it I think my initial struggles were influenced by me not knowing to utilize the fittings but also just being new to the game and having to learn the ins and outs of making my way around the virtual golf course, but now that I've got a lot more rounds under my belt, I'm starting to build up a little bit more consistency and confidence in my game and its showing in some lower scores (Still a bit erratic but its getting there). Really enjoying it atm and can't wait for what's to come.

I never play well on any rendition of Muirfield Village on any version of video game golf. I would've bucked that trend here, had I not been 8 over on my first 3 or 4 holes. I also fit another triple bogey into round 2, but managed to post a respectable +1 so the rest of it had to be decent. Grazed the cup for an albatross with driver off the deck which would have put me in position be back to level par.
Some day I'll learn to fit in a warm up to avoid the awful start

Second round. Won’t spoil my score for anyone.
Felt like a mini major this week especially second round. Really enjoyed that and the designer did a fantastic job recreating it. One of my favourites to play on this game. Tight pins near water off uneven lies in the fairway and tricky greens to putt on. Hell of a challenge but a fair rewarding one. Great job as always guys and good luck to everyone still to play! 👍

Thanks for posting up your streams and I know Charles really enjoys watching TAN streams when he gets a chance. Unfortunately his wife is in a really bad way still even after her hip operation, she is in terrible pain with her legs which effects sleep and quality of life. I just hope the doctors can't help her and they can both get back to normality. They are going though a real nightmare right now. I have had the privilege to play many rounds live with Charles and he is every bit as passionate about Legend + no aids as myself. I did bring in the handicap comp previously in USE but Charles has passionately embedded it into this great society. He has a real love for this game, he sits on a +5 handicap and loves the escapism this game can give us from our daily life. Like me the immersion is the most important thing and the set up we have here is pure immersion and no other way of playing this game can top that. He mentioned to me that he was sorry for leaving me in the lurch and that sums up Charles to me, such a lovely guy and and hopefully his luck gets better. I just played my 2 rounds at Muirfield and will post the vids up tomorrow. If you can stream your rounds please do, nothing tells the story better than a vid or scorecard.

Hope Charles and his wife get well soon.
I love this society, certainly one of my favourites to play, its TAN and I can never challange without the hcp, but it's always alot of fun, always takes me back to why games are meant to be played, for fun and relaxation, whatever the scorecard reads its reads however bad it gets, keep up the great work admins 👏 👏

I think I’ve shot my best scores in the game throughout this week. I got everything out of those two rounds and played in an Xbox two-round grid society last night and finished 5 clear of a big-name who would normally be well out of reach for me on those settings. Not even sure what has clicked or if it’s a case of a few more putts dropping. Or… maybe playing 7/8 rounds a week is my sweetspot 🤷 More importantly though, really sorry to hear Charles’ wife hasn’t had any relief following her operation. I’ve been thinking about them recently but didn’t want to pry by asking. Hopefully he sees this though. As you say he really has put together something with TAN that has something for everyone and was able to pull a hell of a lot of players in considering how niche it can be. I hope they both get a break soon and some good news. I know it’s a minuscule gesture but if it’s possible to gift credits on steam I would like to contribute a little towards 2k25 for him as a thank you for his time and efforts with TAN when he was going through such a tough time himself.

Hello everybody, thank you all for the kind messages. Situation over here is still tenuous and on balance bewildering really. I have no qualms talking about our situation btw. We've had a nice reasonably trouble-free life in the last 40 years with no medical history. None. Both of us are in top health condition. My wife hasn't seen a doctor in 30+ years and even that was of no consequence whatsoever. She's been an living advertisement on how to live a healthy clean life. Full of bubble and energy. I just recently sold my insurance business and retired last year. All looked fantastic and we were looking at some great years ahead. TAN was/is a great hobby and all looked okidoki for many years of fun. And then lightning struck and her life started to turn to sh*t.
End of 2023 was the start. She could not do her daily (last 20+ years) early morning walks (6 miles) anymore due to painfull legs: non-stop prickly pain as if they are asleep. The legs looked okay, no outward signs, no numbness, no swelling. We thought it was a strained muscle in her groin as she started to feel less power in her right leg. So we finally went to the doctor. He thought it was that too but the fysiotherapist thought it could be her r-hip. So we went for a x-ray to check. Her r-hip was shown to be worn and so it looked to be the cause. But it did not explain 2 things: why is she suffering of pains in BOTH legs en why would the hip be the cause as she never had any hip issues before? The medical people still thought it had to be the hip as a neurologist and a cardiologist could not find anything wrong otherwise. We also went to an internist who tested and scanned (MRI & CT) her all over the place. As of now we still know nothing. Its maddening and frustrating.
In the meantime my wife underwent hip surgery anyway in the hope these damn leg problems would pass. They did not. And now she's screwed with 2 problems: painfull legs AND recovering from hip surgery! The hip is doing fine and she's walking (with crutches) already. Wound & leg are looking normal again with all swelling gone. Its been 3 weeks now since the surgery. In the meantime she's stoned out of her mind taking painkillers (paracetamol, naproxen and ibuprofen) in the last months already (as doctors prescribed this with regard to her legs and now because of the surgery). They do not help. The crazy thing is: the damn hip replacement went well and she's not really in pain from that anymore. All in all this has turned into a horror story for her. Complete mental and fysical breakdown with HUGE emotional crashes every day. In the meantime i have my hands full running the home, supporting her and playing the whipping boy with the medics in trying to get somebody, somewhere finding an answer what is tormenting my wife. And looking into TAN when i can, watching you guys having a ball in the posted vids. Anyway, thats my/our life right now. It is what it is.

Good luck, bad luck, controller issues, missed putts, made putts. Some good strikes there Jamie. Enjoyed it. Some great comments too: "TAN is a kick in the nuts job". Hilarious . And true 5th hole is a dangerous drive. Watch out in rd2. To bad on 14. Kick in the nuts indeed! Oh well, keep that course management in there! Good luck in the second round.
