Take a watch peeps . The famous Horusphoenix with a magical 2nd Rd What a round! Birdie run on the back-9 was stellar. Horus has one of the lowest hcp's in TAN (+7) so he really has to work on this course. A great swing helps obviously, but in this case all departments need to be in sync to really go low. Fantastic demonstration! Lets see what the last two rounds will have in store for him. Great playing Horus!! I am Jealous.

Just putting the feelers out there , I'm a little tired of playing some of the other society's and this society is fantastic and becoming a nice true sim family . So I would like to know if any of u boys would be interested in playing a little TAN Matchplay tourney . Would like to have at least 8 of us for it to work . Say 8 of us split into 2 groups and winner of group A plays runner up of group B . If I get enough interest I'll set up a TAN matchplay thread and go from there . I think I'll say we got at least 7 of us of the top of my head . Let us know boys & girls would like to get to play with some of yous live . Sounds good, would be interested but the live thing maybe an issue for me, got a young family so committing to a live time can be problematic, could submit scorecard like on other societies, speaking on that if submitting scorecards would work could be an option for some side team events if people wanted, I would be willing to help out on the admin side of things if needed and there was a thirst for it

Thanks a lot for the kind words Charles, luckily for me Neil was nice enough to put up one of my vods when I’m actually swinging well and not posting one of my bad rounds, still plenty of time to do a Rory or Speith like collapse around Augusta. If the conditions are a little harder over the weekend, then I’m expecting to have to battle more and accept a few bogies along the way. Sorry, I haven’t dropped into the forums at some point to just say “hi”, I very rarely go on the forum nowadays, but needless to say I really appreciate all the work you have put into TAN to make it the society it is today, even though it has not been going for too long, it’s incredible how many regular people you have playing now. Your write ups & leaderboards are great along with all course selections and conditions. I can tell you, hammers, Neil (on the xbox side) & anyone else behind the scenes really puts in a lot of effort for the rest of us, so thank you for that. TAN is in a great place for hopefully the new game and I can only see it getting bigger. Cheers again Charles & hope everyone enjoy the Masters starting today. I’m a big Hideki fan, so will be cheering him on but would love to see Rory finally get the missing piece for his grand slam. Certainly the most exciting week of golf in my opinion, can’t beat the excitement Augusta always produces. Good luck everyone out there!

Compliments coming from you are not only accepted but spread around to the other guys, Hammer-Paul, Longpole-Neil, Colly-Mark, Skunky-Quade et-al. Its a group effort and TAN's success has many fathers. I just peeked in on your 3rd round on Augusta just before supper on your Twitch watching you play live. Dont know what you ended up with but you looked cool & collected going into the back-9 (i stopped watching on the 12th tee). Anyway, gonna watch some real-life Augusta now. Lets see how Scotty, Bryson and Brooks are gonna do... Thanks for fantastic play on TAN. You Top-Guns do elevate TAN in a Major way! Onward!

Just dropped 6 shots on the !%$#y pin placements on 9th and 10th in Rd3.....-10 to -4 in 3 minutes...Aaaarrrrrggghhhh. The 9th is particularly bad.
Ended up Ev, -9, +1, -10 for a -18 total.....7 behind Palatena. Rd 2 and 4 back 9's were particularly good. Shame about the heap of missed 5-10 footers and the 3rd round meltdown.
Cheers

Will be checking your Augusta trials & tribulations! What is so great about playing this course is the total surrender to its briljant design and the devils which are haunting (most.. ) players in the space between their ears LOL! Just when you think you have 'mastered' her she breaks your heart again!

You can't leave yourself above the hole on hole 9 in round 3 which I stupidly did. Ended up holing a 2 foot uphill 45 footer for bogey.

Ended up holing a 2 foot uphill 45 footer for bogey. I always find the 9th the toughest green. Especially when greens are faster. With that high pin in the 3rd i ended up just behind it with my 2nd shot. I knew right away i was in trouble... I had a little chip left so i lofted it all up + full back spin and thought i landed on the right spot on the fairway to get it close. It looked great but ... krept on past the cup and ... kept trickling on and ... rolled all the way to the middle level of the green. Ended up with a triple bogey. The thing is: you are standing on a down slope up there so you better hit it with yer shadow... Lesson learned.
After that, the 10th green is definitely nr 2 on my list with faster greens. Both those greens have my number..

I had that Max Homa bounce off the back fringe of Golden Bell 3 times in 4 rounds and screamed at my TV, "this never happens in the real Masters!!!" I guess I was wrong
