Welcome to The Olympus Club!
This 7,182 yard Par 70 Championship Course is set in the San Francisco Bay Area. The main defense of the course are the cambering fairways and the small undulating greens. It´s a true shotmakers course, requiring you to draw and fade the ball at will on many holes to score. Visually the hilly terrain offers some nice views over Lake Merced and San Francisco. Enjoy your round!
R1 - High wind, West R2 - Very High wind, South R3 - Medium wind, East R4 - High wind, North East

This is the hardest so far IMO. Looks great and very nice clubhouse. Lots of Olympic vibes.

Damn that fairway camber !! Damn that heavy rough !! Damn those greenside runoffs !! Damn those small greens !! Damn those breaking putts !! Loved every minute of my round. Birdie the first and then never saw another. Fabulous stuff and best of luck in the comp.

Tight and tough like I like my women. An absolute beech.

Played a round here, lovely course mate! Very strong Olympic Club vibes.
Course really places a premium on accuracy and some of the greens are hilariously tiny but seemed very playable.
I went for it on your par 5 12th and had a thrilling result. Ball bounced short of the giant roll, landed on top of the roll, thought about it for a second, and then rolled down to the right edge of the green leaving a straight uphill look at eagle. Really fun to see!
Cheers mate, best of luck in the contest.

What a scary place! I now understand why I can't make any money playing golf. After carving my drive off the first I was actually happy with my choice of second shot and the "window of opportunity" that was presented.

Nailed the setting I thought, and the vibe of a major championship. I say in the vid, but it felt like one of the real, official courses you get in the game, in a good and bad way imo. But the key thing I came away thinking was this had genuine major tournament vibes. All the best in the comp!

Thanks for the playthrough. Indeed the course is very much inspired by Olympic Club which plays tough, but relatively straightforward in real life. You saying this course plays like a real course is a big positive for me. If striving for realism hurts me in the competition then so be it. This was my vision for the course and I think I have accomplished what I was going for.

I'm no encyclopedia of golfing course knowledge, but having just looked that course up, you nailed it. Absolutely spot on with the vibes of that course. Well done mate.

I echo Ben's statement above that this feels so much like a real life course and sounds like you were going specifically for that so defintelly nailed that task. My only gripes are personal preference and not liking the RTJ school of incredibly narrow fairways but there's nothing wrong with that. Hole 12 stood out to me as my favorite hole. Loved the approach and that ridge cutting into the front of the green. Great job!

strangi17 "I'm no encyclopedia of golfing course knowledge, but having just looked that course up, you nailed it. Absolutely spot on with the vibes of that course." Me either but my thoughts exactly. No mention in the original writeup of Olympic Club in L.A. and I suppose he states the Bay Area but with the Olympus and the caammbaahh being an obvious correlation, I just assumed... I have always been intrigued by OC and both courses are great examples of how this school of strategy, when done correctly, can be effective measuring stick of greatness for the golfer. The angles of the fairway and reverse caammbaahh really requires the golfer to think, visualize and execute to have any chance of success and narrows the field to who really is thriving at the moment, at least off the tee. trailducker I mostly agree on your RTJ comments and have been hard on him in the past as his style is also not my cup of tea, or let's call it cup of tee actually. I'm not a huge fan of giant water hazards in the middle of plots and Roy McAvoy type hero carries, (at times I guess) but again both these courses I feel show you how it can work. In my honest and humble and unqualified to comment opinion, I love your designs but at times you could show a little more restraint in your width and not be wide for the sake of being wide, at times. +9 on pro settings in round two shows me this course is sneaky tough. I am no marksman of iron or graphite or whatever combination of the elements they are using these days but I felt I played reasonably well, at least by shot execution standards. Being above the hole is scary here my friends and if you don't hit a fairway, laying up into a greenside bunker is a viable strategy. Don't be a hero and try and stick 70% 5 irons to small uphill greens. You will get crushed. Once again nice course ChrizZcE

Still think people slept on Victoria Pines a little, but this was awesome. Really clear vision for the challenge, some great vistas and I loved the challenge. It takes courage to put a course out there where the challenge is hitting the fairway, but I really enjoyed it, even with a paltry 40% FIR... Green sculpting is sneaky good as well. Loving the direction of your more recent publishes - the visual strength is still there, but coupled with a very strong sense of place, challenge and nailed the brief, for me. Best of luck. Loved this greensite by the way, so felt I'd share:

b101 I agree on Victoria Pines. Black Betty did better in WC comparing PV styles but still a very solid course. I also think people may have slept on Real Club Torrox Costa a little bit.
