Redbud National (Major)

Redbud National (Major) is my entry into the major design contest. mattf27 and @tannerbronson take note!

This is an unapologetic homage to Augusta National, but not a replica. I used each hole at Augusta as a template, but with lots of twists designed to make this an original challenge for the best Plat players. I've stuck to the traditional Augusta features of wide fairways, minimal heavy rough, sparse bunkering; and evil greens. 

Default greens are about 180, so a little head room to go faster.

The par 3s have two manipulated teesets, the rest of the tees are fixed.

I have some round specific settings in mind if this gets as far as being scheduled, but won't share those for now...

There are some wild and testicle shrinking shots here! The apparoach on Hole 2 and Hole 10 come to mind. I always appriciate your creativity and willingness to push against the conventional in your designs!

Thanks retteach. I’m pretty pleased with it, but sadly it didn’t make Tour Worthy so maybe not going to do so well in comp. I guess you never know!

I thought the course played tough but fair nothing struck me as too outrageous no idea why a course would or would not be tour worthy. Liked it even more the second time around.

Certainly gives off those Georgia vibes! Nailed the major atmosphere of the course, although I do wish it was a bit tougher. I wasn't quite on song but still shot fairly well. Nice work and good luck!

Thanks so much strangi17 . Really enjoyed watching your round, and thanks for the detailed and expert feedback. I certainly could have added fewer bunkers!
