Scheduling is impossible. Not impossible but I do appreciate the challenges involved. My comments were mostly directed at the game itself and perhaps the lack of a truly SIM style category in TGCT. Keep up the good work. I think you’re both right here. It is impossible imo but because of the game / settings as you say BlueBlood. By having it on an easy swing difficulty and with a lot of aids designed to assist with precision…. Marker, vibration (I can’t believe HB STILL haven’t made this a toggle in society play), lie & green grid on… the vast majority are just FAR too good for these settings imo (even though they enjoy them) which means the schedulers, and designers tbh I think, have to go extreme. Except Frans who I think is happy to let things play out as the no grids defends the courses a little. It’s almost a necessity because on these higher tours the only challenge is the course as opposed to the mechanics. And I think that’s a conscious decision made from years of player feedback and participation on here. Again, I do think it’s gone too far now too, but I’m sure they’re happy enough with that if the numbers are good and majority are happy. Everyone check out TAN by the way, just wait a day or two until we’re off Quail Hollow with its false holes! Anyway, I’ll shut up. Don’t want to start doing peoples heads in again. Just noticed quite a few people starting to veer into this camp lately. And not aimed at anyone in particular again. Scheduling, Designing, making decisions for the tour are *tough*, often thankless tasks. Edit: in fact ignore all that. I'm doing my usual and can’t help myself lol and it’s not fair on the guys that make decisions or pick courses. Apologies, I’ll be off the forum after the BoB Ryder Cup 😆 blame that for me loitering around again! I think I’m literally incapable of not trying to get people into different settings. It’s a curse lol

I'm pretty sure that, once Doyley has cleared up the leaderboard, I will have scored my first red thingy in Plat last week; which means that, unless something weird happens, I'll be back here in three weeks to enjoy the best place in TGCTOURS and make the very most of the wonderful grids and marker!

I'm out for another week. Not worth putting myself through competitive rounds when I just don't feel like playing at all, with 3 demos under the belt. Maybe it would be better to get the final killing blow into me and see this inevitable demotion through, and then start seeing how far I slide down until I finally get to a good point of competitiveness. But then again, is it really the correct way to go out? Not sure if this break will be a longer one, depends on how things go from here. Right now, the mental place I'm in with this game combined with a high standard of Elite would lead to a quick, swift demotion any week I play and it's not the way I want this to end. This is not a swinging shot at any schedulers, not any powers that be. You are not to blame for any of this, it's simply a result of putting playing efforts in for so long and then the game cycle taking its toll on you to a point where I barely want to play anymore. Hopefully y'all have fun. Once I feel like trying again, I'll make myself known as I tend to do. Being the chatty, result sharing person that I am and seem to always be. Good luck! Yeah, I feel your pain and can relate to this. I've had a love/ hate relationship with the game, the irony being I've had some of my best ever finishes in tournaments this season. I went through the motions a few weeks ago, almost playing out of an obligation to myself given all the time I've put into improving. I found it a chore and a waste of my time to play two rounds, knowing I'd miss the cut. I have rediscovered a little drive recently and aim to complete the season and review from there. I'm actually on the fence of those embracing the tougher courses and conditions from the schedulers. I think too many drive, pitch/ wedge, putt for birdie courses have been the case this year and that contributed to my malaise. I liked this week and fancy my chances of making the cut after a really good 2nd round after an indifferent 1st round. Hope to see you back on the course and forums with some new found enthusiasm.

Yes, this week is a Major. Apologies.
Next week will be very scoreable though.

Decided to have a go again last night, and about halfway through the front 9 I was wondering why I bothered 🤣 ended up finishing +3 for the round so probably gonna be a short week unless I can do something in the second round tonight. If I keep this up I'll probably end up being demoted.

A bit better second round of -3 but even ain't gonna cut it. I'll be off to kinetic next week by the looks of it.

I apologise: only managed to score one red mark last week and looks like I might not score any this week UP THERE… so it’s gonna take a while before I’m back…

As expected I dropped back to kinetic this week and given the way I've been playing lately it'll be a while before I get back up here, probably more likely to drop off further back to CC.

I think you'll find you'll do well in Kinetic and we'll see you fairly soon. Just saying. It's a really fun tier though, enjoy it while you're there!

How do the countbacks works now? I haven't been in a position to care for so long. Thought I would have won last week with the eagle on the last hole.

Count backs go rd4 score, rd 3 score, rd 2 score, rd 1 score then if still tied they go to last hole of final round, second to last hole.....etc etc

So, I didn't get any red thingies last week, as predicted... but this week, things look much better and I might very well get one, maybe even two... so, if stars align, I might be back here in two weeks!

Sitting at -17 means I'll be looking over my shoulder right up until the cut line hour this week. Actually played pretty well just couldn't seem to get the reward for the way I played in rd2 after a good opening round. Will have to wait another day or so to see if I fire up the game for the weekend or not. Good luck to all those still out there.
