After bad shot management in round 1 on 2 par 5's destroyed my score by dropping 8 strokes , happy to say I played much better in round 2. Holed a peach of a putt on hole 4 to get the round going.

County Cork Links InvitationalA true test of golf endurance at the beautiful Old Head Kinsale in County Cork. Week 1 is won by Hendomedes an Irishman from north of the border with a superb -9, just a single stroke better than MR LONGPOLEx. Palutena came in 3rd on -7 (with the lowest 2nd round a superb 67) and OrsoGrande 4th on -6. Just 3 strokes separating the top 4. Some struggles out on what was a brutal course of your game is not firing on all cylinders but always respect is earned by those that finish. Low round goes to the Champion Hendemedes with a superb 65 in round 1.

Excellent first tournament on a cracking course. Thanks again for this society. Great to have more rounds to play on these settings.

Well played Craig and that was a really good round 1 you had, was tough out there and it was about not making mistakes as well as good play. Missing a few sim big guns such as booze2407 horusphoenix Tuffguts Demonondalinks. 2 rounds over 7 days and big bragging rights to see who wins season 1 on The Legend tour. Week 8 which is the final week of season 1 will have big points up for grabs so a chance to get some points back if you miss a week.

British Masters Week 2 we head to another superb RCR by Jay Johnson, a very talented designer on this game.
Sunningdale’s Old Course was designed by twice winner of The Open Championship, Willie Park Junior and opened in 1901. The land on which it was constructed belonged to St. John’s College, Cambridge and mainly consisted of heather, gorse and pine trees. There were no shops, no railway station, and no Ridgemount Road, merely a bridle path over the property running, as it still does, across the 2nd of the Old and continuing across to the 9th green of the New Course Willie Park Junior, was consulted and tasked with designing a course of exemplary character, for the price of £3000. It opened for play on 23rd September 1901 to universal acclaim and was among the first successful courses located away from the coast, as many had believed turf would not grow well in such regions. The Course was considered extremely long and its popularity owed much to the development of the Haskell ball. Park Jnr was an excellent putter and this is reflected in his design, with many large undulating greens that utilise the natural topography, the Old Course greens can often catch many by surprise. Diagonal and visual hazards, were favoured by Park Jnr and examples of these can be seen across the course, with cross bunkers, ditches and heather banks framing many holes. Credit to Park Jnr’s design, The Old Course has stood the test of time, and even now with the advance of modern technology, the course can be challenging to even the longest of hitters. Whilst in his post as Secretary, Harry Colt contributed to the layout and made some thoughtful changes to Park Jnr’s design, notably moving the 4th, 7th & 12th greens to where they are still to this day. Bobby Jones had great fondness for the Old Course. In 1926 during qualifying for The Open Championship (which he went onto win at Royal Lytham and St. Annes) Jones shot 66-68. Regarded for many years as the ‘perfect round’ the 66 consisted of 33 shots, 33 putts and no hole was played in more than four and on ten holes, the shot to the green was played with a two iron or wood. Jones said afterwards: “I wish I could take this course home with me.” Many further amateur and professional events have been played across the Old Course including the News of the World Professional Match Play, The European Open, Ladies Open Championship, The Walker Cup, The Open Championship International Final Qualifying, The Senior Open Championship and in 2024 it will host The Curtis Cup. The Old Course is today considered one of the greatest courses in the World and is regularly found in the top 30 of the world’s rankings.

Very limited time these days. I will keep playing TAN events. Sorry, as this looks well organized.

Round 1 with Art Vandelay who played some sold golf, my game was a bit off. Round 2 with Bova Kian who is having a good tournament. Much better from me, 4 under for the round after 16 holes, made a mess of the last 2. You can't relax for a minute on legend, just love it.

Another top course. More poor golf by me. Enjoying it a lot though. Cheers. And this is the problem Trevor, +4 (3 behind my total this week) is a respectable score on these settings over 2 rounds. Maybe it's the whole crazy low easier difficulty TGCTours thing where people think any score over par is a complete disaster. I will say this only once more but I feel TGCTours is crying out for a tour with a proper challenge and not just for the better players. Doyley you have a 3 click tour that has moderate numbers, I know 100% that a legend sim tour will be more popular than that and bring in higher numbers. There are sim people like Craig / Hendomedes Mr Longpole that are very passionate about this and vocal over here but people are very vocal elsewhere also in the sim community, man I have been doing sim since Matt and his superb RGT Tour in 2014, I actually joined TGCTour then so I have been around for a long time. Frans has done a great job at TST but since turning to legend myself TST is just crazy low scores for a sim tour and humble bragging to me, I could never go back to master difficulty let alone no marker so there is nothing here for me on TGCTours atm. I average around par on the hardest settings the game has, lower settings feel like I am given strokes and also just way too forgiving tee to green. There are a lot of people in the sim community and I keep in contact with great designers, myself and a select admin would have an awesome ultra sim set up on TGCTours, it really is a no brainer and you need something extra here, it would be a great addition. You tried Simulation Tour Doyley , isn't it interesting to see how you and others fair each week on the game's toughest sitting.
