Dear TST enthusiasts, This week would be a good week to score well and earn yourself some money to rise in the money standings and secure a good starting position in the Tour Championship. We play Scioto Country Club this week, which is not only a beautiful course but also provides a very tough challenge, especially on the greens. My advice: hit it close! Next week will be your last chance to secure a good starting position for the Tour Championship, which will be based on the money standing after conclusion of week 41: www.tgctours.com/Tour/MoneyList?tourId=5&season=2023For the Tour Championship, EVERYONE CAN PLAY, but the leader in the money standings will begin at 10-under par. The No. 2 player will start at 8-under. The No. 3 player starts at 7-under; the No. 4 player starts at 6-under; the No. 5 player starts at 5-under. Players 6-10 start at 4-under; players 11-15 start at 3-under; players 16-20 start at 2-under; players 21-25 start at 1-under; and all other players start at even-par. I will provide you with the starting strokes and standings after each round, right here on the forum and on discord. Good luck and have fun, Frans

Couldn't really catch fire with a -10 but I remember this course (I think) from another tour, maybe in 21, and it's a really nice layout and a test for sure.
Will be taking a break for a few weeks before -hopefully - the new season starts and will be back in earnest then. Play well guys!

A lot of these pin placements leave a lot to be desired. smh.
edit: E +5 +4 +12 (speed golf) = +21

After playing too aggressive in the first two rounds, I switched to ultraboring bogey free golf; doesn't really impact score... but, I enjoyed it more... Round 3: -3 (15 pars and 3 bogeys)

-1, -4 for -5 start.
Played pretty quick, late and tired. I procrastinated too much on this one, but my perfect attendance record for the season is too much for me to drop now.
Played just a handful of holes pretty well so far through 2, and yet I may have a shot at my best TST finish... who knows?
Cheers, good luck!

Apologies for this week. Only played 1 round before cut line. Real life and old man memory combined for me to not get second round played in time. Will complete the week of course 🙄

Amazing what you can shoot when the pressure is off 🤣. Even and -7 for the first 2 rounds.

R1 -1 R2 -2 R3 +7 R4 +4
Tot +8
For the first time in a month, I didn't play all 4 straight through. I played pretty well the first two rounds missing 20 putts with 2 3 putts. No double bogeys and mostly stayed out of trouble. After a couple day break, I came back for R3 without a practice round and went +6 through the first 7 finding my tempo. Had two bunker shots fail to clear the sand and skulled a chip across a green. Settled down with only another bogey the rest of the way. The 4th round was up and down but still couldn't read the greens. All in all I missed 14 and 9 the last 2 rounds but had a long of 6.7 ft in the 4th round. Just infuriating putting and just raged/sped my way through the round to get it over with.
Did not enjoy the final two rounds at all. Those greens felt unplayable at times as I spiraled. Two uphill putts where I nailed my power only for them roll 30 ft away from the pin and off the green. Missed a 3ft putt, another just over 5 ft, lipped a 6ft, one where I didn't see any break and missed by over a foot left and oner where the ball was above my feet and the pin was angled towards me that didn't break at all. Lipped a 29 footer. Had multiple chips and bunker shots run all the way across and off the green.

Playing devil's advocate here but I don't mind a very punishing course at all, especially in the playoffs. Don't get me wrong I didn't play great myself but I quite enjoy those rounds where you have to be right on it to make a score. Call it 'USGA have lost the course' conditions or whatever haha
Not saying you guys are wrong or anything, just giving the other side. Not that I took advantage at all 💁

Not that I took advantage at all 💁 Agreed, it was super punishing if you couldn't stay on the fairways and drop darts. Haven't been humbled like that in a while, haha. I felt rattled on the greens but looking back at my stats it was missing the green in the first place that put me in a position to need 1-putts for pars (and a couple bogeys) and the 4th round tied for my best putting round. Had a streak of 7 or so tournaments where I putted out of my mind so I was due for a little bit of regression!
