To be honest Jeff with donations standing at 45% of required total the prospect of a Season 10 doesn’t look great.

I am totally gobsmacked that 2k with there millions haven't came in to the rescue here.
A big portion of players here only play the tours and if they decide to knock it on the head I can see the game dwindle a bit especially for the next installment of the game .
Can't understand why 2k and tours don't come together and really get the wheels in motion
and GIVE US A LEGEND TOUR for the hardcore players

People like to watch it. |

Multiplayer-wise at least. Pros and cons to both I guess and maybe they've offered. |

Hardcore gamers are a small community. The base 2K player is the typical shooter gamer, who doesn't want a harder game. |

Just saying that out of spite really as a hardcore true sim lover . But the main concern is tgc tours and they are massive in this game,I think would be a little damaging financially to the 2k franchise whether it maybe half a % |

I'm not a hardcore elite gamer, I'm a long term duffer. Been a member here for years and have donated in the past, but the gradual disenfranchisement of the lower order - us duffers - to pander to the elite has ruined the whole experience for me.
If season 10 will cater for duffers like me I would certainly donate.

I'm not a hardcore elite gamer, I'm a long term duffer. Been a member here for years and have donated in the past, but the gradual disenfranchisement of the lower order - us duffers - to pander to the elite has ruined the whole experience for me. If season 10 will cater for duffers like me I would certainly donate. Hardly pandering to the elite. If you go through every flight the scores are crazy low so master difficulty surely isn't too difficult for most who play here. TST introduced flights for those lower down the leaderboard also and tbh TST's setting do go easy on you for a sim tour setting. If you are looking for a pro difficulty setting there are plenty of societies that cater for the casual player. Season 10 you would have to think that the higher flights should be switching to legend difficulty. Personally if we had a legend ultra sim tour here like Simulation Tour, season 10 couldn't come soon enough. That's if there is even a season 10. |

Pro Tours should definitely be switching up to legend. Natural progression up the tours though TGCT don’t like to have differing difficulty levels as some won’t want to promote from CC-A as the game will get tougher. |

If you compare the 3 pro tours to CC, it can easily be argued that this site caters to the elite players. If I remember correctly, the changes this past season included the pro tours get another aid, reduced the # of players in the top tour, and removing the cut-line. Can't think of any changes to CC off the top of my head. You have approx 340 players on 3 pro tours playing 3 separate courses. You have over 1000 players in CC playing 1 course. Platinum has no cut line?; CC is 60% regardless how many play. Pro tours have majors and playoffs; CC has.....well, nothing (largest player base, mind you). Qualifying events - all FOMO. No reason for [established] middle/lower level CC players to even bother playing CC used for qualifying TGCTours does a very good job of excluding more players than it includes. It shouldn't be a surprise that the same occurs when it comes to donations. |

I mean, no matter where you stack up on the tours, the point is you have a place to play and compete vs. folks of similar skill level..
CC used to be just 6 flights - now is 12 - so they've in effect doubled the amount of tours to accommodate the "duffers" to have a place to compete.
As you move up the ladder, if that's your thing, the competition gets tougher.
I for one will be sad to see the site shut it's doors. Sad to see folks that in a sense complain about the tours - yet they're putting up scores week in and week out. So do they like it or don't they?

This game becomes 80% less interesting with no TGC Tours. That coupled with the fact that the servers have been shitte and this franchise maybe going down the tubes sooner than later. Not trying to be a downer but it’s looking like Season 10 will not happen.

Not trying to be a downer but it’s looking like Season 10 will not happen. If the servers don't get fixed we are all doomed. Are you going to play in this weeks GHL Tournament or should I get you a sub? |
