2023 Major Design Challenge - Info (Signups are closed)

Hello there! It's time to kickoff signups for the 2023 Major Design Challenge. I'll create a full thread for rules/information/updates in the coming days, but here's the basic info you'll need for signups.
- Entry is open, first come first serve for the first 40 entrants. If we get more than 40 people, we'll figure out an expanded pool or have alternates for dropouts
- Window is August 1st to October 31st, but since we're announcing early, you can start working on your course as soon as you sign up. (Note: No WIPS or existing projects as in other contests. Courses must be started during the contest window)
- There are no restrictions as to what you design, or what major this is for. Want to design a Parkland US Open course? Go for it. A links course? Go for it. Want to make an Augusta replica? Go for it. There are no restrictions to what you can make other than the obvious ones for tour use such as having 4 pins. Courses should aim to be Plat difficulty.
As this is a contest focused on designing major championship venues to test the world's best players, I'm leaving it as open as possible to let you make as many good (or bad) decisions as you want all on your own. At the end, courses will be judged on overall quality of the design, its appropriateness for tournament play, and the atmosphere of a major. What all of this means is up to you to interpret, and at the end of it all, the best will rise to the top. Best of Luck!
