Dear TST enthusiasts, Major week! I'm taking you to the beautiful and challenging Oakland Hills South. Conditions are tough but not silly; should provide for a major-like challenge while still being enjoyable. Played my rounds. Some stretches of brilliance, really 54 holes of play that’s probably good enough to win but also one round that wasn’t up to snuff. Seems like my usual anymore.
Nice challenge on those greens

I never learned to play to them but it was the same pins for all 4 rounds on PS.

I've found my swing again which feels nice.
I was 3 under thru 6 and had two short putts that could of easily went in.
Bogey on 7 and 8 started to tilt me a bit.
I imploded on hole 7, making a Triple, due to missing a 3-foot putt and watching it break hard left at the hole and down the hill.
I shook that off but the five-putt on 14 sent me reeling into a tailspin.
I may need a vacation from True Sim after this week.

Looks I'm missing this years 2nd major - I can't get my controllers working. Not sure what the problem is. Would have liked to play Oakland Hills. Good luck to everyone!
EDIT: I got the controller working - gonna squeeze in a practice round and the first 2 rounds before the deadline.

-2 x 2 = -4. Geez, that took a lot of work to get.
Eagle on hole 2 in round 1 to kickstart a week that might have some promise for me based on that first score of the week... and then a big dud. Only other positive score on the front was that sickeningly tough 9th. +1 at the back, save after save and for 2 holes back to back that mode got deactivated.
I started round 2 with 2 birdies but that work was erased by hole 6 with 2 bogeys. 4 birdies to 2 bogeys from there, and could have still finished better than -2 but bogey on 18 knocked that idea out.
I have no idea how to feel about these rounds. Compared to field those hold up and that's nice and all. But with my sort of incompetence and incapability to score, it got kinda frustrating at times, not going to lie. I get it for a major though, even if the pins have seemingly gone awry this week with a repeat of pin 1 in round 2 and thus trying to help... well let's see how things go from here.

First round was very smooth and I played my best in a month - a couple of birdies to lead off, one bogey on 9, saved par with an 8-footer, 2 10-footers and a 22-footer and add in a few more birdies I got a 66 (-4). Second round started with a bogey then birdie on the par 5, was more inconsistent in spots and wrapped up with a 72. So -2 after 2 rounds.

Had some Spicy Mustard with my Corned Beef on Rye for lunch.
I feel better.
Can't putt but still trying.

Played all my rounds separately so didn’t notice until the 4th round that we were just playing Pin 1. Not bitter about rangering Pin 4 for nothing at all  Still a fun week with rounds of E, +1, -6 and +2 for a -3 finish. Round 1 really got away from me as it easily could have been -5 or better but hey that’s True Sim. |

Had some real life things happen last week and we only able to complete 1 round. My name is off the leaderboard this week. Is that permanent? I can't remember the rules.
