Dear TST enthusiasts,
For this week’s Quail Quality Cup, I cannot take you to Quail Hollow because, well, HB’s version isn’t quality - see what I did there? 😎
Instead, I’m taking you to Plainfield Country Club - established in 1890 and redesigned by Donald Ross. A beautiful golfing challenge, which I hope you’ll appreciate. As for the tree in front of the fourth tee - yes, I saw it as well, but as long as you hit a proper shot, it should not interfere with your tee shot. Unless of course you take 9i from the tee but then you deserve the branches to punish you… 😂😂😂

Greens too tough for me this week. Imploded with a couple of 3/4 putts early in Round 2. Beautiful course by Violinguy69 which I always enjoy playing but it hands me my arse playing normally never mind TST. Back out for more punishment!! |

This is a really big week in the Mayonnaise VS. Mustard Rivalry. The rivalry didn't officially start until about 10 weeks into the season. And I instigated it and continue to instigate it but if you start from week one this is a big week in my opinion. meyo cracked off for something like 9 in a row while I was still learning. I closed the gap in the last 12 weeks or so and with my last 3 wins in a row meyo only leads 13 to 12. If I can find a way to beat him this week I can get the season all square. I don't want to talk about the USE Tour as meyo is making ketchup out of me over there. GL and HF! |

Thanks a lot Frans! You ruined my 13 rounds, in a row streak, of Even or Under Par. I didn't realize this place merged with the USE Master Tour. I would have put a practice round in or two. 5 bogies + 2 birdies + 11 pars = (+3) F--- F--- F--- Round 2 can shove it and wait. ( meyo liked this post) |

More good news for the people at Hellmann's.
Four Putt on 15 to Double Bogie.
Lucky Eagle on 16.
Even Par on the day.
It ain't over but 6 shots back at the turn.
And this course is getting on my nerves unlike any other course I've ever played.
It certainly is a beautiful looking course but tough as nails, in my opinion.
The Ruff is Rough... do not go in it!

I really played well over 4 rounds. Not sure if it was good enough to win. I just couldn't get anything to drop in round 4, and didn't really manage much in the way of hole outs, chip ins, or long putts over the 72 holes. But I did play pretty defensively and managed those greens well, mostly had true tap ins instead of 3 or 4 footers to sweat over for par. Didn't really have any big swing mistakes that cost more than half a shot.

+2 round 1 and all clubs and toys thrown out in a fit of toddler rage. No quality in that round, none at all. How do you follow that? Bogey free -7 round 2 to sit at -5 on the half, I do have an eagle sighting from close range too. If you can't putt it, try to hole it... ...or take the most undeserved birdies and run with the momentum because this started my scoring in round 2. What quality control? Cheers, good luck! |
