Surely I am not the only one, lol here in the UK we have only 1 in 700 people in the armed forces! There are considerably less than 700 people who come on these forums on a daily basis so I wouldn't be too surprised if there was only 1 or 2 on here.

I was referring to NFC's comments. Sorry, combined the 2. That's cool bubba. After the military I was a Missile Tech for about 12 years myself. Worked on several well know missile systems myself.

Cool, My main missiles was the SPARROW & PHOENIX (Target Seeker sections), but knew the complete missile, nose to tail. I also spent a limited time on the HARM & SHRIKE as well ...

Sparrow was under many a wing, Phoenix, the F-14 and the F-111 ... the Anti-radar AGMs also were fitted under a host of wings ... yeah, But the systems I worked on are old ... and we share the same thing ... retirement.

Sad this did not get more play. So many "heroes" needing recognition for our freedom. One of the greatest American's once said: "Peace is not the absence of war, but the presence of justice" - Abraham Lincoln. Thank you to those who serve. Cannot thank them enough for allowing me (us) the lifestyles we enjoy, including the golf club.

Meant to put something here yesterday, but got caught up in barbecuing. A big thanks to anyone that serves or has served. I haven't and know it takes a special person to do it. Being in law enforcement, I have a ton of friends that serve or have and they all have my admiration.

Well thanks to you as well. Law enforcement has been getting disrespected lately and that is tragic.

As a country we don't really take the army seriously lol not saying it's a bad thing I think it's a positive thing myself.

More like a necessary thing. And somebody has to do it or bye bye freedom. Simple as that really. I understand different Countries view this differently but here we sacrifice for the greater good and are proud to do it. It's an honorable existence.
