Sorry guys its me back moaning about master clubs again. When playing 2k21 I made it onto the challenge tour playing Pro clubs, never got higher than CCL but I was really enjoying it. I'm trying really hard on 2k23 but I don't think I'm ever gonna master the master clubs and to be honest it's just not fun anymore. so with that in mind I wondered if anyone can recommend a good society that plays pro clubs. Thanks for any replies. Ken

At the beginning of this season, I was a mess with master difficulty. Last season, TGCTours was Pro difficulty, and this year, with the change to master. I couldn't do @#$t. Then I tried something I read about a few years ago. I turned off swing feedback. This was the little circle that told you if your swing was fast/slow/perfect. Now, playing with pure feel, I have moved up a tour (cc-H to G) and will probably move up again with this week's promotion event. Currently, I'm top 3 in my CC-G event also. I'm still not up there with the best (shooting -15 every round), but I did go low this week with a -14 first round, my lowest in a while.
Turning off feedback really makes you feel a good or bad swing. Instead of trying to correct whatever swing the screen told you last time, it helps develop a more consistent swing.

Thanks for your reply Violinguy, but is swing feed back not controlled by the tour?

Thanks for your reply Violinguy, but is swing feed back not controlled by the tour? It's a setting in the Display & HUD options...not a difficulty setting. You can turn Shot Feedback to On/Off/Distance Only.

You can turn Shot Feedback to On/Off/Distance Only. I always play with shot feedback off including no distance info. It is much more immersive as the ball flight is my feedback.

I advise some of the lads who I play with to turn it off especially when there struggling a bit , it's basically 1 thing left to worry about , u don't see a wobbly blue line or grey fast , slows nothing so then you don't get annoyed with it as much For a casual golfer who just wants fun with a few friends turn it all OFF & swing away , more fun .

When you say master the swing do you mean you want to shoot 10 under every round? Or better?

This is interesting. I didn't even know you could do this and I definitely focus on the feedback blob. I might give this a try.

I was in the same boat as the OP and about to quit. Struggled with the cut, dropped three CC levels. I too turned off the swing feedback and it has made a huge difference, especially with putting. I still am not where I want to be but I enjoy the game more.

When you say master the swing do you mean you want to shoot 10 under every round? Or better? When I was having trouble, the best I could do was 4 or 5-under, and sometimes would fail to break par. I missed a ton of cuts. Now, I have two top-5s in 3 weeks and a T2 this week.

I've given this a go and really like it. I'm not exactly pushing the big boys from my mid-table CC-H position but I switched off the feedback and realised I tend to know what I've done wrong anyway. But as you say, I'm not just looking at the feedback the whole time and trying to correct what I did wrong last time. I just try to hit a decent shot every time. Top tip! Disclaimer - When the wheels fall off, I'll come back to point out what a bad idea it was.

I'm going to try this too. I mean, what's the worst that can happen?
