Hey all,
It seems like depending on how much you lower the opacity on the clear heavy rough brush you get more or less bunker auto sculpting.
Set the opacity really low and the bunkers are pancake flat.
25% opacity and they're flat and the smallest brushes don't show (so use bigger brushes). setting opacity to 80% gives more or less normal sculpting, 60% seems to be the sweet spot, as it seems to be slightly less than the auto sculpting we had before.

Great find!... we have some control again!

This may be an even stupider question Axel (but as a former DirtBag I know you will forgive me) but how did you discover the connection between the brush opacity and bunker sculpting?

Q told me about a workaround that scottish had found to get around the bunker brush bug, where you would enter the clear heavy rough menu, pick a brush and go into advanced editing, change the size of the brush and sometimes it might work. And it did, sometimes. I never really understood that it worked when I lowered the opacity, which I did from time to time because I was also using that tool on the course.
Then I decided to check out what 25% opacity looked like, upon which my bunkers turned pancake flat.Tried raising it back up to 50% and the bunkers were perfect. Tried raising it to 100% and they looked like sh%$ again. Thought "huh", and asked mctrees02 to try it as well and he got the same results. Heureka moment.
Also noteworthy is thay you don't need to lay down a low opacity brush on the plot, just changing the opacity and exiting out and into the bunker brush menu is enough.

- open up the menu where you raise/flatten the land (the bulldozer) - select the clear heavy rough tool at the bottom - pick a brush, any brush - lower the opacity to 50-60% (or 25% if you're doing flat bottoms) - exit out and go to the bunker brush menu - have fun

I was coming back here to thank you for the post and comment about it not getting the traction that it deserves ... But I see it took off asit should have. I had it working but McTrees was showing me (what you showed him) and took it to a whole other level and it's great on Golden Age bunkers, I really feel this is going to take off once people get used to using it. Thanks for sharing!
