Dear TST enthusiasts, Like the IRL PGA Tour, we spend this week on Hawaii; we'll play Mauna Kea GC. This course is gettable but not a pushover - it's got some elevation changes, greens aren't flat  , and the first few days there's a bit of wind . Have fun and good luck, Frans |

Couldn't help myself. Had to head out on the course. Not too bad. Burnt a few edges, but that's golf. -2, -1 happy with this. Very windy out there 😉.
Another great course Frans 👍🏼.

Put a few practice rounds in before I felt comfortable. I shot +3/+3/E/-2/-4/-6 in practice and after the -6 I decided to play my first round officially. First hole I hit a bit far to the backside but chipped it in for birdie. Made an Eagle on one of the middle Par 5s and finished -5 for the first round which is my best round on tour. Hope to keep it going this week but round two is Very High Wind so back to the practice course.

That's the one thing about returning to TST. You always know the courses are going to be top drawer and this was no exception. Thought it was a great but fair challenge. Started off with a double humph trying to be over ambitious. Learned my lesson and played a bit less gung-ho after that. Ended up with 2 under par rounds which won't set the world on fire but I'll take it!  |

First round included 3 bogies and a 5-putt quadruple bogey because my putting is a crime against humanity really... truly disgusting.
Second round putting was solid and enjoyed a round with a bit of wind - we really should have more of those!
Round 1: -2
Round 2: -6

You need to opt in for TST through the TGCtours website: www.tgctours.com/Tour/Signup?tourId=5Once you’ve done that, scores are pulled automatically and you’ll be assigned to a flight after completing two tournaments. |

Practicing Round 2 Very High Wind conditions and it's a nightmare. Sometimes you have to be one club down or three clubs up. I don't even want to think about trying this officially. Hopefully round 3 and 4 we get some calmer trade winds.

Did I, by any chance, maybe just informally, already mention how much I hate low wind rounds. How I despise them. Loathe them. How I, if I’m completely honest, would like to just blow up every low wind round and replace them with very high winds? I cannot understand how anyone would prefer low wind over high wind. Just drives me crazy. But for the record: not a fan… 😎😎😎
Only schedule them for you lot, so better show some gratitude!
