So uhh... turns out that being sick from Christmas Day onwards and still not being 100% today and going for this challenge anyway is, umm... an ambitious choice?
Round 1: -2 after 3 holes and then the slow down hit me hard. Bogey 7 and 9 to be at even after 9. 10th hole was an utter disaster which I can't even explain, 4 putts taken for a double bogey. Amateur hour stuff. Birdie next hole. Par train then come around to pick up the passengers, then a sneaky tap in eagle on the 17th. Somehow this rollercoaster finished under par at -1 and 33 putts... owwwww.
Round 2: Par train came early, then couple bogeys. One birdie on the 8th to come up with +1 front. Much better on the 10th, birdie there. Par train again, 15th is a birdie, then I think I screwed up 17th royally but found a way to hit a partial 3 hybrid to a couple of feet for a nice birdie after all. Narrow miss on a chip to save par on 18 so bogey there instead. Again, just managed to sneak under par at -1. 30 putts this time.
Not setting anything on fire yet... except the putt totals for being abysmal, and possibly myself after all is said and done! A true test of patience so far, might fail it by the end but won't find out today.

Last 2 rounds were very good. +2 and -2. The strange thing was I got the better score on the harder day. Loved the Course. Really enjoying TST.
Would someone please tell HB Studios that there is no point in having different day Settings when some of them are just too dark. Gone are the days you could have dusk and raining Settings.
Honestly, 2K21 was better. They really are a joke.
I'm not bagging your Settings Frans. I've done the same thing myself. It's just annoying that unless you do Morning, Noon or Afternoon, it's too dark to appreciate some of these beautiful courses.
Anyway, very happy with my rounds this week.

Not the first to be caught out with the lighting Frans, and you won't be the last. It's them not you. And as you say it's an impossible task as various settings look different on each system. Ridiculous really. Nice rounds Ross. I completely imploded in Round 4 and consigned myself to the Duffers division after a pleasing week last week. I just couldn't handle the greens in Round 4 but have given myself a severe talking to. The definition of madness is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results. Onward!! |

First three rounds played fairly ok for me and sitting at six over par.
Last round was horrendous.Just couldn't find the correct tempo.
If i hit it slow,the next shot would be fast,or vice versa.Finished the round at fourteen over par,and the worst eighteen hole score i have ever played.
Was a shame that three of the rounds was dark playing and you couldn't really see the real beauty of the golf course.
Wishing everyone on the True Sim Tour the best and goodluck in the New Year 😁😁.
Thank you fransslabak and skoader for making True Sim Tour enjoyable for a hacker like me.😂😂.

Well I for one am happy to walk away from the rollercoaster fairly unscratched. +1 in round 3. The darkness was ready to consume me but at some point in the round it became a bit more tolerable. Then round 4 happened. Double bogey hole 1 off a 3 putt. This kinda round, huh? Then I noticed something interesting after one of my putts. I pointed it out in the picture, but... the green seemed to leave a tiny, silvery line of the trail my ball took, and it was there for a few seconds after the putt before disappearing. This is the first time I notice something quite like this. It happened on a few greens here and there and not sure why.  Unlikely eagle on 10. Scoring ended there, 3 bogeys on the back 9 including the final dagger on the 72nd to finish +2 for the round, +1 for the week. Dammit, I wanted even or better. Oh well. New week, new year... same virtual golf me, probably. Cheers, happy New Year! |
