The Nicklaus Flight Survival Documentaries: Episode 1, part 2
-4, -4 to finish -10 this week.
I don't know, the swing line was not great but managed to stay relatively cool even with that. I don't think I'll push way higher and will still end up with 2 demo marks but hoping that I could take a little bit of momentum from this into next week and put up a better fight right from the get go. One can only hope this nightmare won't go further than this week.
Then again, the Arabian dreams were a nightmare for me last year too, so... don't know. Maybe my dreams and those dreams are completely different? It is also a challenge, and the challenge was failed on my end? Thinking way too much about fictitious titles because I want to have no memory of this week!

longpole in a nutshell Paul played my ghost and noticed my putting stroke was too long, perfect for 2K21 but not for the new game. He knows I'm a mouser and gave some advise to that extent. I'm still wretched but a little less now. Onward!

Started off great this week for a change for me,-3 after six holes.
Finished even for the front nine 😔.
+4 after sixteen holes,but managed birdie,eagle chip in to finish +1 😀.
Got back to even after five holes in round two,but then blew it again to finish +2 for the round and +3 for the cut 😞.
Back to even par for the tournament after severn holes 😁,only to blow it again to finish +3 and even for the round 😔.
Hit more greens in regulation in the final round 😁,but putting deserted me 😔.
Hole twelve costed me the most strokes,three double bogeys and one par in all of four rounds 😩.
Thought this week was the week for me to finish under par for the tournament,but sadly not a +9.
Sank a 31ft putt in round one,and a 25yard chip shot in round two.
These kind of shots make you want to come back and play,and ease the pain of the bad shots and overall score.

Bogey Bonocore I was right next to Peoria, Sun City West. Played in Glendale at Arrowhead CC. Pretty nice Course, but with it being 50 something it wasn’t the full AZ golf experience haha. Good on ya making the cut for CC and some improvement on TS. I was no good at CC this week, -1 Cut. Need a bounce back.

Bogey Bonocore I was right next to Peoria, Sun City West. Played in Glendale at Arrowhead CC. Pretty nice Course, but with it being 50 something it wasn’t the full AZ golf experience haha. Good on ya making the cut for CC and some improvement on TS. I was no good at CC this week, -1 Cut. Need a bounce back. Wow, only 50?? That is not the winter AZ golf trip you were expecting! Still better than the 20 degrees I am in at the moment up here in Idaho. I can't wait to get down there and play some courses. And thanks! Happy to make the cut. Only my second made cut. Just barely made it with -5. Hopefully I can get some more birdies tonight when I play rounds 3&4 and claw my way up the WGR a bit. Before that, I will just be fighting to not finish last in the Arabian Dreams Challenge. 😂 |

But I bet you were starting to get worried when the 5-putts started - what on earth was going on in those last few holes for you?!? 😂🫣 I also met my goal - beating Pen. I had a secondary goal of beating Art, but the new expert putter version is now way out of my league… Hahaha well, there was a BUNCH of things going on ericvanderek1) I wasn't trying very hard. 2) I brought my XBox to my girlfriend's house. I don't know what it was with the TV, lighting, etc. But I couldn't see ANYTHING right. I was getting dizzy and it felt like my vertigo was kicking in. I tried tons of different settings, brightness, HDR on/off, lights on/off in the room, etc. Nothing was right. I was so uncomfortable and it was hell. Plus her TV is much smaller and up on the wall, compared to mine with is eye level. Everything was just weird as hell. 3) I hate that course. I was hoping I liked it better than the other one on the 'resort', Sands....and I actually did, but that's not saying much. I don't know. Something about the layout, the weird looking buildings that make me felt like I was in an industrial park, etc. Nothing against the designer. It is a nice course. Just some courses I jive with, some I don't. This resort is just not for me. 4) Back to point #1, I play totally different if it's not 'for real'. I play way quicker, don't focus, etc. And being that I wasn't playing for anything (not in a flight yet, but no matter what I shot I would be in one next week) I just didn't have any incentive to focus. I wish I could focus on non tourney rounds, but my mind just can't. I guess I need the thrill of competition. 5) The putts...oh man, I don't know. Last weeks tourney, I felt great on the green. This week, I couldn't read a putt to save my life. Couldn't get the speeds down. It was just a mess. But, also, see points #1 and #4 6) Playing a practice round on next week's course now, and it's very scoreable. I look forward to actually trying and 'hopefully' not finishing last! 😂 |

Where is your home base? It's 9 degrees here at the moment, but getting colder throughout the week. I’m in Central Ohio. Finally starting to feel like we are coming into Winter. I guess it’s appropriate since the legit start of Winter is just in a day from now! Nice man. I spent 6 years of my childhood in Cleveland. Lake Erie cold is a different kind of cold. It gets cold here in Boise, but nothing like those lake effect storms. |
