Ever played at Oak Park Pat? They've got 90* dogleg par 5 that you have to hit 5 iron off the tee and then two three woods uphill 😂 That or maybe the 18th at Hockley are my best worst IRL. If you can knudge it 280 off the tee, you can get it down the slope to greenside and have a chip for albatross 😂

Back when I played Tilden Park near Berkeley, the par 3 fourth tee was on a promontory overlooking the green. The tee area has since been repurposed into a parking area to ease the horrid parking conditions for the Botanical Garden across the street. However, back then, you basically need to either chip it or hit a short pitch, because that green was about a hundred feet below you and your tee shot would carry. It might have measured 120 yards but with the drop off if you expected to hit it anywhere near that it was going to overshoot and land in a pond that has also been removed.

I’d say the 10th at Temple golf club is one I remember. 200 yard blind par 3 with the green in a hidden bowl….

Also the 9th is a par 5 which when firm you can’t hit driver because it rolls from the right rough into the left bushes. You therefore hit 3 iron off the tee to leave a 260 yard second shot which you have to go for because the lay up area is impossible to hold so you go into the bushes. I think someone did a LiDAR of this course in 2k21 if you want to see what I mean

I've played that 2nd one tons of times (Crystal Springs Golf Club). What they fail to even mention in the description is that it's a 90 foot drop from tee to green which makes it even trickier. Awful hole

We have a Muni course in Manchester 16th, 220 downhill to a blind green with a huge mound & stick for aim. Nothing short of a 4/5 iron it’s a beast and anything long drops about 30 ft into the woods

Sad that The Classic in Spanaway lost a very nice finishing hotel to home development. I played there a few times when the finishing hole was still a par 5...

Not for the faint hearted when it comes to the walking but actually has some really unique and challenging holes

Admittedly my tastes are on the quirkier side, but it sounds like a pretty sweet par 3.5 to me — the kind of hole that folks would gush about if it were labeled a par 4 and were perhaps 30-40 yards longer

The dream of playing short and running down is much of a dream due to general course maintenance. It’d have to be a great day for it but ye. A 4iron to abojt 15ft is about best iv found on it. The 11ths is a beast also. Thats the 16th we’re talking
