Can't for the life of me remember any detail of my latter rounds this week. I do remember the start though - I could not hit a tempo for love nor money and dropped 5 shots in the first 6 holes, closed the game, recalibrated and battled on no to drop a shot for a 71. That bogey free run stretched to 24 holes in all before dropping a single stroke in a 63 in R2. 65, 65 to finish got me to -24. RE the start, I'm convinced 2k mess about with server side tempo as I was bloody miles out. I am really only playing my TGCT rounds at the present time due to God Of War being so bloody good, but I'm not that bad. I had exactly the same thing, was 5 over through the first 6 after shooting -8 on same settings during local play on the same course. Tempo came back for a few holes in round 2 but then it went haywire again! Hopefully they expand capacity / finish backend work soon because when it’s good, it’s great but when it’s bad, it’s unplayable

It's nice here in Puerto Rico. Started off hot in round 1 then cooled off after missing 3 putts under 10 feet. I hadn't had a birdie since hole 3 when I got on the 13th tee so John chewed me out and I felt very hurt by that and I felt tears welling. He told me I need to get something going. I told him I'll send him going packing if he's not nicer. Then I birdied with a 35 foot putt to shut his yapper. He apologized and we're friends again. Wound up with a 70 (-2).
Second round started with an eagle, then the wind blew and blew and I kept punching - I think I punched about 7 or 8 approach shots. Hit some frozen ropes from the tee too. I was able to make some dents in the course, 25 foot putt birdie on 10, eagle on 11, birdies on 13 and 14. After my one bogey on 17 I finished with a 66 (-6). My best score with the new game so far. Last 3 weeks I finished between 70th and 90th so this is a massive improvement for me.
Don't tell anybody this hint but I'm starting to think the lower the loft on regular shots, the more accurate the swing and the spray is smaller. Punch shots help if you're struggling with tempo.

Funny you should say that, but if I had to hit a perfect tempo to save my life, I'd hit driver off the deck. I do hit punches very accurately too, when required.

Agreed on the punch shot. I play it a lot from 130 yards and in. Almost feels like a controlled three-quarter shot and bites pretty quick. I really like it.

More of a knock down shot than a punch shot, which is a great shot into a headwind irl. I confess it have only tried the shot when trying to hit under trees and on the range in this game. Will have to sit out this week as I just haven't had time to get those first 2 rounds in.

I'm pretty sure using the punch shot will be a regularity for you in particular Hammersman cause I know you like the strategy and challenge aspect of golf more than most. You're gonna love it. If I look on YouTube or Twitch, it's probably highly likely that nobody's using the punch shot. I think people may be forgetting it's an option since we didn't have it for two years. Been using the flop for anything around 50 yards too - that swing feels just like 2k21 so I'm used to it. I've actually started charting out different lofts and spins for each club too cause I need help with my approaches if I'm gonna get better. There are some significant differences when working with loft. For example when we played West Hill last week and we had all those fairways cut off by hazards and we needed shorter drives, I brought the driver's loft at times all the way to the lowest and it knocked 40 yards off my distance and usually stayed straight-usually. One more thing I'm noticing with loft - the pitches in particular have wide differences when hitting them higher - maybe I didn't notice in 2k21.

+8, +9 out of the gate. Heading to Dalyland! Onward! +13 and +15 to close at +45. I am a travesty and an embarrassment. Onward.

My condolences go out to you Andi. Finished over par again this week, but managed to have two rounds under par, slight improvement. Amazing playing by the top players. How you score so low is utter brilliance. If you made the hole as big as a green,I still miss 😂.

Those round four pin placements were tough on this old golfer. Went +3, +5, Even, +4 to end up +12 overall. Sped through the back nine of round four and actually played it at three under, so hopefully that's some momentum for next week.

-1/-4/-5/-2
Welp, the top 20 overall streak is over. Just couldn’t get out of my own way when I had momentum. Sigh. Onward to next week.

Please bear with me, this maybe long winded. Firstly, thanks to all who have written kind word here on forums or who have DM'd me here on on ps, your words have been very comforting and greatly appreciated, cos i still cannot accept that last Saturday my ball horseshoed the hole back past me and just disappeared off into the distance. fransslabak thanks for dedicating this event to my wife, it was a very thoughtful gesture Well I finished, took me all week, but I played, poop as normal but not once did my dummy go flying, so im proud of that fact Finished -5 but my scorecards had more squares than a chessboard Now u all know im not one to complain but as I indeed have a free pass here go's. Tee wouldn't stand up straight, Ball was egg shaped, heavy rough was too lush, bunkers were too sandy, greens were not flat, wind was blowing the wrong way, leaves on trees rustled to loudly, golf bag kept falling over and to top it off, my coffee has gone cold. There, think im done , I enjoyed the course though On a serious not im going to post a link to a JustGiving Page set up for my wife by her friend. It does say for funeral costs (but she didnt word it very well, bless her) What I actually want to do is share it between Cancer research and Macmillian support, now Please Please don't feel I am begging as that is not my intention at all, all im asking is for you to SHARE the link on ur social media accounts saying its for the above Charitys, to spread the page as far and wide as possible. With Cost Living soaring I am not in anyway shape or form asking you to Donate please remember that. www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/gemma-caspell?utm_source=Facebook&fbclid=IwAR1hi0QKeOAQFxAKujnwfwC75UEa0IJgXolFDMflzRrkSpzOwFl-KRf8hvgThankyou all. Finished up much like last week, only... a little better? -11 at half, -4 and E to finish a little weakly at -15 this week. Had more to get but my last rounds are currently shooting me in the foot everywhere. I wouldn't have deserved much anyways to be fully fair, with shots like mine I was way off and scrambling more than I should have ever been doing that. My bunker shots are looking quite nice though, found myself in a few situations of those in round 3 and got: a hole out, a pin hit for easy bird, and a little later almost another hole out for a gimme par. I don't know how my bunker shots have gone that drastically further when I would be duffing a few shots to nowhere, but hey. I'm not complaining at all about that sort of turnaround. Almost didn't have my last scores registered thanks to the patch that came out yesterday flipping the 3rd party access back off. Thank goodness I noticed something was off after finishing the event as I went looking at the leaderboard. Neat little surprise that one, so be careful! Continuing a good run of form in finishes. Apart from the one blip so far in week 2, finishing around 40th place every week with this maybe being the best finish yet to one up my last week's final standing of 39th. Should also give me a shot at promotion to top flight next week if I just play well enough there, which I'm both excited and terrified of, knowing that with my current form my lasting time up there might be about 3-5 weeks. But would be the first time I ever reach the top pinnacle anywhere, so I would take that actually. Have to just get there first and next week is my first chance at that. Cheers, good luck!

After trying so hard in the first two rounds to get to -8, I left today open to finish but a friend of mine was going thru something so I wound up talking and playing at the same time. I shot 75, 76 to finish at -1 for the tourney. Still much improved from last week. Lame excuse but I didn't have any other time I could play. For this coming week, I won't wait til the last minute.
