Dear TST enthusiasts, This is Bahamas Challenge week and, therefore, I'm taking you to ... errr ... well, Puerto Rico! We will play TPC Dorado East, a Robert Trent Jones course that offers a completely different challenge than last week's course. I suggest you bring your driver this time... However, more importantly, make sure you play your heart out this week. No complaints about fittings, settings or stutters - just golf, played in the best way you can. Thought there was something wrong with the course after hitting -5 first round with 2 missed 2ft putts but realised there wasn't when I hit +5 in round 2 😂😂
Games still broken though .. has 2 very fast downswings when I thought they were gonna be slow!

First 2 rds pretty good for me. Last 2 rds not so much. A lot of slows (not the good kind) crept in and my swing tempo felt all over the place. And my scrambling (chipping) around the greens was really off too. Think I finished +7. Going forward, I think I'll exit out of societies and/or the game after each round. Off to the USE event for even more torture. First tee shot a bad slow, so at least this beta game is consistent, if anything. lol <sighs>
P.S. Where's the John Daly flight? I was so looking forward to pretending to sandbag to be in it.

Bit more tropical this week! Enjoyed this course as well. Felt relatively gentle on the greens but I had so many grazed edges it felt like a missed opportunity of a really nice score.
Still reasonably happy with -26 in the end and feel like I'm slowly getting more comfortable on PlayStation and on True Sim in this game. For whatever reason I'm finding reading greens much much tougher than on 21.

Think I finished +12. Struggling a bit reading greens in 23, but hopefully that gets better over time. Really iritating to "read" one thing only to see it do the exact opposite. Lol. Played the Elite and Platinum events which had 181 and 186 greens. It was better than I thought it would be. I even finished under par in Platinum event, so faster greens are feasible with the right course/pins. Of course gridless and no follow cam is an entirely different animal. Lol. Hopefully there's some courses out there suitable for USE that will allow for some faster/firmer settings and variety. 🙂 |

Can't for the life of me remember any detail of my latter rounds this week.
I do remember the start though - I could not hit a tempo for love nor money and dropped 5 shots in the first 6 holes, closed the game, recalibrated and battled on not to drop a shot for a 71. That bogey free run stretched to 24 holes in all before dropping a single stroke in a 63 in R2.
65, 65 to finish got me to -24.
RE the start, I'm convinced 2k mess about with server side tempo as I was bloody miles out. I am really only playing my TGCT rounds at the present time due to God Of War being so bloody good, but I'm not that bad.

Alright... another week, another shot at something good! -6, -5 for -11 at half. Not spectacular in the playing department and got blitzed with slow swings in round 2 which I got corrected before the end of the round this time, but putter seems to finally have close to something in it that I've been looking for the first few weeks in these parts. Closer misses and reads are finally starting to find more accuracy, which I'm liking. Maybe it's the greens and the speeds since they've been a bit slower and I guess I'm okay with those? Not sure yet, I won't go too far into conclusions yet. At least so far, keeping some pretty good PC folks honest being right on their tail which is already a pretty big win for me. Another shot at top 25 overall again this week and good finish in Palmer flight, can I pull it off this week? Let's see. Cheers, and good luck.  |

Really nice course this week. Finished with +17. Sounds awful, but I'm very happy with that score. Thought the greens were very hard this week. A bit too much going on very close to the hole. 3 putting from inside 5 feet can be a bit frustrating.

Sorry to hear about your loss Andi, horrible news.
Course was lovely this week although I picked a bad time for playing this week, must have been some backend work going on because it was random tempos galore! Was like playing Xbox on 2k21 at legendary difficulty! Ended up +5 through round 1 when the day before I’d carved out a Sim -26 for four rounds on a similar level of course nailing great tempos! Grafted away to get it back to a few under par but it’s definitely a double demotion mark for me this week!
