Main menu on your game. (PlayStation) Go to Casual. Training. Practice - Chipping Practice. Press circle button on your controller, and move the big circle x over a bunker. Press x button and you will be in a bunker. Press option button. Select Auto -Milligan to On with the x button on your controller. O button to get back to your player in the bunker. Hopefully this information will help you in finding the bunkers on the driving range,to practice playing out of them.

A Full loft, full backspin Punch will get you out of the bunker. You will not be inches from the hole or anything, but on the green.

Flop works also, and gives you more spin than splash - for some unknown reason

Flop works also, and gives you more spin than splash - for some unknown reason You get more spin due to angle of attack is steeper with flop. If you want spin on a splash you need to increase the he angle of attack. The problem with adding attack angle is that the timing window gets very small. I worry that a lot will quit TGC unless they patch splashes. I can see lots of players getting disheartened with leaving shots in the bunker.

To create most spin you need steep AoA with a wide open face for maximum spin loft. This creates a very high spinning low launch shot. Shallow AoA with wide open face creates less spin but more height

The splash shot is such garbage.
There was no reason to make THAT the most difficult shot to execute in a golf video game. It's not even that difficult IRL.

Bunkers in this game are a disgrace…I’m a very average bunker player in real life but even my bunker shots spin so much they basically never roll on a green…if you’re lucky enough to even get out of the bunker it’s like landing on glass
