I'm on an LG OLED (HDR / Game mode) ... Won't be the issue. I get a lot of screen tear with the ball in flight, but that's just the game engine being shite. The actual stroke making part of the game has been pretty much flawless. If I reinstall game do I lose all the time I put in on myplayer? You won't lose any progress by uninstalling the game, just don't touch the save data under any circumstance.

When I moved from my laptop to my PC, I lost all my fittings, clothing and character/name changes. I fixed that by moving 2 files in two different folders. Not sure if that is possible on console.
I did not lose VC, XP or hours logged.

Pretty happy with +4 after R1 (I was a CC-K/L player last two years). Pretty happy as I blew a few putts (three putting twice, one-time converting an eagle to a par). 26 putts overall though, so pretty happy.

I'm somewhat confused... and a little bit bored, yet still intrigued... Are you out to make the experience as unenjoyable as possible? Are you aiming to qualify in a tour below your ability and light it up with magic balls on your path to domination? You don't get any medals / strokes off for having a sh%$ bag setup and using the worst possible ball... but each to their own - play the game how you want. If you want to make things even more difficult, maybe try smearing your joypad with Vaseline, having a shot tequila after every sh%$ tempo (cheers Xbox), spin around before each shot and swing with your off hand. Whatever floats your boat. I'm not getting it... Do you enjoy playing the game with only default ball, and no fittings as some sort of "purist" and what will be will be...? Well seemingly not, as you're full of seethe towards those you deem to have it so easy on the PlayStation, so there must be SOME competitive edge to you... I think. Genuinely not sure... Personally I can't see any sense, at all, in not playing to the best of your abilities, and using the tools that the game gives you, to score as competitively as you are able... Surely that's why we're here? Competing on a 3rd party platform, with set rules and guidelines, cross platform. Alternatively, if you really are bothered about performing and not just moaning, buy a second hand PS4 (plenty about - not sure why more of you don't try it) and show us all how it's done on easy street? Even I was a few shots better than your first round due to my Sony machine / pad and magic ball. Surely it's got to be tempting? Surely, it's that easy, no? I truly am perplexed as to why many of you lads that have been around so long, and constantly moan about it, don't just buy a PlayStation, yet continue to feed 2K cash for something they can't fix. I'm on Xbox and I'm finding this game far better and far more enjoyable to play than the last one. I suspect it still is easier on Playstation but tempo is far less of a problem for Xbox than it was, I'm sure because of the fittings. I believe Xbox players can compete this time around - no need to join the dark side just yet. Glad to hear it mate (me), and I sincerely hope things are a lot closer in 2K23

Hi all!
-10 -12 -8 -11 = -41 for me. Happy with the result. I suppose this is right in the middle of Elite territory, which is where I think I belong at the moment.
Also, and purely on a side note (we all know the main Tours are more important), it allows me to stay an active competitor in Happy Tee Friends. Watch out for some recruitement advertising early next week!
Cheers and good luck all!

I just tried it on my laptop instead of my phone and it worked 👍🏼 Yea this is an issue if you’re looking on mobile. Only courses up to 10/27 show and all under the header of 2k21. Maybe something to look into doyley Should be fixed now

It seems to me that the gap may have closed a bit but it's early days and we've got patches to come yet which could change everything. I still don't care, all I care about is this game is really good on Xbox on these settings. I enjoyed my rounds this week more than I have for a very long time. Wherever I end up I believe I can be competitive. And I'm only on level 29, I've got a lot more tinkering to do yet! Good luck this season Peter, I'd be surprised if our paths don't cross at some point.

Started by leaving a 1 foot putt short on the second hole. +9 first round, 9 pars 9 bogeys. Thought I was improving in the second round with +2. Was +1 through 8 in the third round, still nothing worse than a bogey through 44 holes. Then I doubled 9, tripled 12, tripled 16, and quadrupled 18, mostly by sending putts and chips 50 feet past the hole over and over, to shoot +13. +3 in the fourth round for +27 overall. Hopefully I'll be allowed to play in some kind of league, though I'm fully expecting to be permabanned for being a disgrace and an embarrassment to the sport of golf.
Did have a hole in one on 17 in the fourth round though, so that's nice I guess.

TGCtours.com > courses > PGA 2k23 courses is where I’m going. Newest courses are “Red Dog Run” “Fiji Island Club” 10/27 and I can’t find any of these courses in game.
I think you are looking in 2k21 courses, not 2k23......
I’ve clicked on 2k23 courses a few times, then seen all of CLVs courses, got excited then realised I was on the 2k21 page, it’s happened a few times. Either a glitch or my fat fingers

A couple of things: My opt in for third party data doesn’t save and have to turn on each time I turn the game on, is this normal for everyone or am I doing something wrong? I can not hit 100% power no matter what I try. It tops out at 98% with most of my swings around 92-95%. Is anything else having similar issues? Are you taking a long pause at the top?
The swing mechanic will take your swing up from 0% to 100% at the start, past 100% to a max of around 110% with a bit of a pause at the top of the swing animation, and if you're still paused at the top, will fall to a 96-98% range where it stays until you swing or the animation resets.
If, on the opposite end you are taking a quick/short swing before following through, you need to let it come back just a slight bit longer to get to 100%.
Perhaps take a bit of time on the driving range with the swing meter turned back on to see and "feel" where the correct timing is. The white square on the swing meter is the 100% swing area.
Thanks for the response. I’m trying to be as fluid as possible but I’ve tried the pause at the top and also a quicker motion and it’s the same result. I went into the trainer and turned the distance control on and obviously was getting 100% with that on but as soon as it was off it was back to 92-98% every swing no matter what I tried. Anyway it is what it is. Thanks again

A little embarrassing to post my Q-School progress with all the -40's being talked about, but I haven't played video game golf in over a decade, so to even be able to play semi-respectable on Master with minimal practice feels like a win to me. +5 Round 1. -1 through 16 in round 2. I was sweating and my palms were sticky. Completely fell apart and bogeyed 17 and tripled 18 for +3 on Round 2. +8 through two rounds. That 18th hole meltdown is going to haunt me. Looking forward to playing my last two rounds on Thursday night, and hopefully I can take a couple strokes off and finish around +12 and sneak into a CC flight somewhere! Side note: Loving the community, the challenge, and the competitiveness that TGCT is bringing to me. MyCareer is ok, but I never once had sweaty palms that led to a meltdown on MyCareer mode! Thanks for all of you behind the scenes for what you do for this league! This right here is what I created this community almost 9 years ago. LOVE THIS!

The balls make a big difference imo. Used the blue Aviators, it was like night and day after getting bodied around Wilmington with the defaults. Im embarrassed to admit I didnt even think of changing my ball from default....ended w/ -19 though so not too disappointed in the final outcome Same here, we use default ball in our ultra sim society plus all my career rounds have been with default ball as I’m saving them up. Saw the green speeds were 155 so just rolled with the default too. I did test a legendary ball last week, should probably do that a bit more with the others! Just being a bit frugal with them 🤣

Thanks again Am trying to suggest to use the timing that gets that 100% when you can see the meter and try to apply to when the meter is off. Like a muscle memory thing.
You don't want a pause at the top. That is trouble unless you are deliberately wanting to not get a 100% swing.
Also, it's a seems to be a secondary thing, but the Transition stat helps make that 100% range be a bit larger. It's not implicitly easy to have an exact 100% swing power.
I hope you can find a swing that works for you eventually.
