This is an awesome course. For some reason I couldn't view who the designer was but one of the best I've played in this game. Looked lovely and a great design. Made it to the back nine in round two before I couldn't pull the club back this time. And then could only hit very fast or very slow. So sick of these constant glitches. When it worked that was a really nice set up round there. Thank you, glad you enjoyed it but sorry to hear about the crashes. Seems it’s happening to a lot of people but knock on wood the only crashes I’ve experienced is with the designer.

Nice course, by the way, meyo I've played it many times, in the last month or so, as it has been making its way around all the societies. Create another one when you have time. Thanks! Thank you Sir… Inspiration has been lacking for me to start a new course but hopefully it’ll come…

DonkeyPuncherBen is 2nd on -8 and we have a tie for 3rd on -7 with horusphoenix and Tuffguts. Low round is a superb 63 in the final round by the champion.

Season 3 week 1 : The LegendaryThe Lido was designed by Charles B. Macdonald, with contributions from other designers, and constructed in 191 Overseen by engineer Seth Raynor, construction required that "thousands of pounds of sand" be pumped out of the bay to reclaim what had been a marsh. The advantage was that "the exact contours required by the course architects" could be achieved. Turf bricks were cut from nearby property to lay the green The course opened by the summer of 1917. More than 2,000,0000 [sic] cubic yards were pumped in from Long Beach channel by five hydraulic dredges. Hills forty feet high and undulations corresponding were thus constructed. Forty thousand cubic yards of meadow muck were lifted and placed as a soil for all the fairways, greens and tees. Among the incidentals more than 2,500 tons of lime, 6,000 tons of fertilizers, and 35,000 tons of top soil. The entire rough was planted by hand with beach grass, each in squares eighteen inches apart. Nearly a million plants were required. They hold the sand in place and at the same time afford an excellent hazard. An irrigation system provides for every foot of the expanse. Unfortunately, its opening coincided with the United States' entry into World War I. During the summer of 1918, management was forced to lower the annual dues from $200 to $60 and make the course easier to attract more amateur players. In 1942,during World War II, the United States Navy acquired the property and destroyed the course to construct a naval base. After the war, in 1953, a new course was built in nearby Lido Beach with a design by Robert Trent Jones. While different from the original, the Trent Jones course features a replica of Macdonald's 4th hole. www.insidehook.com/feature/sports/return-legendary-lido-golf-coursewww.si.com/golf/news/the-story-behind-the-lido-golf-clubThanks to charles56 for the course and conditions this week and sending me the links. This has been a great season for USE with Charles and Skunky on the case with some superb courses and great set ups. We have had TAN which has really hit off through the 3 platforms so thanks to everyone who is part of this niche community.
I am sorry to say this will be USE Cross Platform's last season as we will be concentrating on TAN going forward, we are going to implement handicap competitions and scratch team competitions with evened out skills to make it really competitive for every members. There we be challenges and every member will be in the running to win something. We will still have our main event running but this will be society golf that's fun for everyone.
There will be 3 societies we focus one here, TAN,The Sanctury (same settings as USE Cross Platform) and Craig's new society Simulation Tour which at the moment is a 4 day event over 6 days. It's first cross platform event starts tomorrow so join up and see how your game holds up to Royal Portrush in those testing links conditions.

Curious, is the cross platform societies in game yet. so far I've only seen XB folk on the boards, but I was thinking if society was already established, it would default to the single platform.. wondering if creation of a new one allows to toggle it to cross platform..??

Unfortunately not yet, but hopefully next game. We have to create 3 seperate societies still and do work with leaderboards, point tables etc.
