Sorry for another tempo related thread, but I did not want to derail any of the others:
In 2k21, I used the animation of my golfer to find the "sweet spot" for commencing my downswing e.g. as soon as the forearm covered the mouth, on my character at least, it was the point that I had comfort that I would hit 100% power. From what I can tell, tempo also scales with power, so if you overswing, a slightly different tempo is needed. How are others finding this sweet-spot in 2K23? The animation and character size is different, so I've been thrown off my game a bit. Does this even work in 2K23? Do you time it in your head? Do you look at the animation? Any other way?

Yes it takes a while to relearn as it's different to 2K21, but the principle still works. I've found with chipping I've worked out how far to backswing for most distances (after days of constant practice swings and checking the shot feedback) - fairly reliably at short distances and when it's closer to the max 25 yards I just dial back the loft and spin and swing 100% or close enough. For me I think it's a combination of timing and watching the animation. I did discover that when I play online where the distance meter is always on, it really interferes with this process as I can't focus on the animation any more.
