First of all, I like the game, but I have so many off swings with the analog swingstick. Wanna get used too master difficulty, but atm its too hard for me. +10 or more is normal for me , due the off swings. Most of the times Im nowhere near the sweet spot. Many shots in the black zone, where the yellow ball is in the picture. So what is this black zone? Is this transition, swing path or timing? I post an url for this image. postimg.cc/ph31LfNM

The bit around the top is timing, the blue line is swing path. In this particular example you've hit a pull hook.

I need to hit in the grey zone at least, best is the white bar, which is very hard. Is it just my swing on the analog stick?

It's a combination of timing and swing path, there may be a bit to do with transition as well but I'm not really sure how that works in this game. The blue line is going across the plane from out to in, so if you hit the white perfect tempo it'd go straight left, because the tempo is on the fast side it goes left with a draw/hook sending it further left. If you can straighten up the swing path so it's more in line with the white line rather than going across it your misses will be less severe, other than way off tempo swings. Have you tried calibrating the swing yet? If you hit a lot of fasts it may be that your natural tempo is faster than the default the game sets it at. My natural tempo is faster, so I was hitting everything fast before I calibrated it.

My natural tempo is faster, so I was hitting everything fast before I calibrated it. I did calibrated my swing, but that didnt solve the problem. Sometimes I have fast, sometimes slow and many off swings. This was on master btw. I played two rounds in the kinetic League yesterday, shot 19 over in first round and 2nd round more. Think it was 21 over. Im defo doing something wrong. I have a new controller and my old one, but same problems. Little bit lost, cause on pro settings I shoot over par...not that high, but still not where I want it to be. First day when I played this game, I played master settings on my career and started om Q school and shot two over par on 1 round. Since day one patch, which came out few days ago, I have these problems. I play on PS5 btw. Anyway, tnx for the rep mate, much appreciated.

Two different aspects to the swing which are barely related.
Your diagonal blue line means you pulling your stick down and to the right and then pushing it up and to the left. It is a very straight line, so if you can rotate it, that could be a strength. I tried different ways of holding the controller and different places to put my thumb on the stick. I found if I put my thumb on the upper outer (if using the right stick) it stopped me from going down and to the right and keeps me pretty straight. I still had a fair amount of variability, so I recently started using both thumbs (one on each side directly opposite each other) and have had more consistency and better swings with that. cseanny recently posted a video of him using the two thumb technique, but he holds his controller upside down. Here is the link: cseanny controller technique
Tempo is the outer circle labelled "fast" in your picture. That has to do with how fast you move the stick up (unless you are holding the controller upside down). This is where calibration can help (it has no effect at all on swing plane). Most of us seem to struggle more with this and the only thing I can say is practice, practice, practice. If you have an xbox controller, there is potentially a technological disadvantage (has to do with a lower polling rate). Again, watch the video - he nails the tempo he says he will every time, so it can be done.
Good luck! Just because I understand all of the above doesn't mean I am a good player, but I really do understand the technique (those who can't do it, teach).
