I will shoot +40 Over And Over Again in Challenge Circut until the game obeys the LET OFF SWING. I do not care. I use the same swing that worked in the original "The Golf Club" and will Never Change it.
I do not use tempo. I let go of the stick halfway in my downswing so the game cannot register any tempo. My swing STOPS EXISTING so the game cannot read it.
Putting has also gone wrong in CC. There is no forward swing when you putt. The standard correct putt is a long backswing with a sudden stop and no forward swing.

I will say that there is one real problem here though. The vibration on putts and chips on Series X with the pro controller in CC need a surgical touch because they are partially in the center stick dead zone. You can't hit a soft putt because that part of the swing is in the left stick dead zone.

Thomas Pieters hit a putt with that technique in a recent event. It rolled about 2 feet.
I'm not sure what's so hard about pushing a stick forward though. The game is programmed to be played the way it is, no amount of willing it to "obey" whatever you think it should do will make it do that.
You know what they say about doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results ...

Thomas Pieters hit a putt with that technique in a recent event. It rolled about 2 feet. I'm not sure what's so hard about pushing a stick forward though. The game is programmed to be played the way it is, no amount of willing it to "obey" whatever you think it should do will make it do that. You know what they say about doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results ... Because it is what worked in the original TGC! I am not able to change things that worked in the past to new patterns. For example I'm over hitting all perfect swings in distance right now because in the last game red swing gave you good extra power. |

Computer games can be forced to obey the way you want them to play. I have done it to FIFA and the last TGC also. Although my lowest tourney score in beer league was -24 or something. It baffles me how anyone can ever score a -50. |

And it doesn't work now, and never will in this edition of the game, so why keep trying it expecting anything different? It literally makes no sense. |

I keep doing it because tempo does not work on xbox systems for one thing. I can't tell if this has improved in Series X. Another is I assume every time I log into the game the tempo will be different. I assume there will be zero tempo stability.
My swing Is a different speed every different day I log into the game. I try to guess what I think the tempo will be today. I have played 8 rounds a week since the original TGC and have never learned what the actual tempo is.

The game has been different than the original TGC Game for 3 iterations now - you need to change the way you swing or else you will never get any better.. Find the 'new' way that works for you - maybe try the 3 click swing mechanic.. ?? Good luck sir.. |

And you never will learn what the actual tempo is if you keep using a method that doesn't allow you to figure it out. Complaining about it won't change anything, the problem is caused solely by you, not the game.

Heck! You want to use a swing that was essentially a glitch in the original game - a glitch which enabled better swing path as it relied on the controller springs keeping the stick central. If you let go, as long as the forward momentum of the stick slightly passed centre, it hit the ball straight for you... You're complaining that a broken mechanic that wasn't in TGC2, or 2k19, or 2k21 suddenly now isn't in 2k23?
I am truly amazed sometimes. You must be able to see that this is utter madness?
Seriously - I hope you can find some enjoyment in the game. It's pretty good. Seems you can't figure the tempo out in 5 years or so and this time they give you 3-click. Give it a try. There's more chance of you liking it than there is of you managing to mind @!$# the game into doing what you want, or 2K taking any notice of a rant on a 3rd party website that is not monitored by the dev team.

I did not know it was a glitch ever until you told me just now. I cant use three click in any game mode except beer league though. I don't play games to enjoy them, I play them to try to be the best. There is no such thing as fun or enjoyment, everything you do is serious.
