Farming in this game is playing the career mode for VC and fittings. Looks like we are not forced to play the useless career mode anymore to level up quickly š Ow really? so now you don't get any VC/XP/fittings for playing local matches, how do you farm theĀ VC/XP/fittings, please enlighten us. I didn't say you don't get them from local matches did I? Playing career is the quickest route to getting VC and fittings. Personally I just played the career mode with all aids off on master and picked a difficulty suitable to my ability. Got tons of fittings so it was a quick way to upgrade your stats even playing career at your level. I have only won 2 tournaments in a season and a quarter and have aquired a sh%$ load of fittings. Pretty done with career mode now as I find a fictional leaderboard boring and how many times do I want to play the same old courses.

I've just played a round on career mode and got the same swag I always get, so I'm not quite sure what's supposed to have changed? But then I rarely have a scooby what he's on about.

Me either, which is why I didn't bother replying. I played a society event earlier and got the same XP as I did before. Probably play a round in career tomorrow night.

NO I DID BECAUSE NOW YOU DONT. before the patch you could play any course in LOCAL game mode and earn XP/VC/fittings. Now what I want to know from you is how you intend to do what you said "Looks like we are not forced to play the useless career mode anymore to level up quickly š" if you don't intend to play career mode how are you going to collect fittings/VC/XP if your not going to play career mode AND YOU CAN'T COLLECT THEM FROM LOCAL MATCHES? what's your plan ?. I doubt very much you have collected ALL legend fittings from only 1 and a quarte seasons of career mode. So how are you NOW going to collect more if your not doing career mode?

Yes that's fine and looks like career is the only way to keep collecting the VC/XP/settings unless hammers1man tells us his magic way he's doing it now.

I do wander why you care so much what anyone does here, seen as you don't play tournaments here or any society play for that matter. Surely there must be a forum out there that talks about how great online match ups are and how far up there they are on the world wide leaderboard.

I guess you haven't heard the 2k roadmap? they think ranked leader boards are important too. I will help you out with your career grind 1. Set the game difficulty to where you can guarantee you win. In your case I guess that will be PROAM. 2. Set the course settings to easy. 3. Set the rounds to one. 4. Keep your sponsors happy and don't forget to change them when you get to level 9. I used difficulty at 2.50 but don't try that mate. Hope this helps with the grind hammers1man.

Yu can still get VC and skill points in solo local matches you just have to play them on handicap rated courses.

I am actually scoring pretty well with Master and no aids with the set up I have now. So TST and my USE society and practice rounds from now on. FYI I can win on career with master on easier conditions and all aids off with pro scores -3 to -5, I have actually bumped up the green speeds.

I wish there was a laugh react on here. I hardly if ever play local matches. I get xp in career rounds as well as society rounds. I also play in a society that gives VC payouts relative to leaderboard position. I don't play a lot of career, probably about one event each week, but I don't really care how long it takes me to get completely fitted out anyway. I'm still playing the third event in Korn ferry, although if I win it and the next I think I elevate to the PGA tour.

Just played a society event on a non handicapped new designer course and received nice legend fitting.
Guess that will shock someone.

I think you get points playing in society events whether or not they are handicap eligible; it is just local matches that need handicap courses AFAIK Darren.
