The Lidar only really gives you a guide, due to how the game blends everything you still need to do some designing work anything from 50 to 300 hours to make something really playable.
I am not sure because google earth only has a picture from 2016 and it seems its 2021 data,so its really hard to comment on a course i have no idea on.

Did you add the water in OSM? If so, you should be able to add a checkmark in the import tool to either import the water as flat or as a hole (if I'm remembering correct).
I checked the course in OSM, that is the issue. Add an additional tag to your water using Golf > Water_Hazard. Then on the "Import Terrain and Features" tab make sure "Import Water" is checked. That will import the water hazards as a woodchip terrain. You can then sculpt to allow water. Or you can select one of the options on the "Course Options" section, but that is iffy in my experience.
I would also suggest mapping out the rough in OSM to make it easier in the game. Same with golf cart paths. Reach out if you have questions!
I changed the water tag and mapped the cart paths. It now imported the water mulch. The only way I have been able to change it into water is sculpt it down and raise the height of water. Doesn't look the best. It's just going to take a lot of trial and error. The crazy thing about all of this is the lack of content explaining how to do all of this.

For water I take the landscape flatten tool (I believe its first option), pick a circle brush (on page 5 I believe) then lower it by 4ft. I use that to trace the perimeter of the water. I then make the brush larger and then lower the rest of the lake. Once its lowered, I add the water. It will take some trial and error and unfortunately isn't the quickest. With more practice though you will get better. Takes me a couple minutes to lower and add a lake/pond now.
