TST S8 - Week 44 - Mortgage Classic

-1 round 2. Slow start through 4, then 2 steps back with bogeys and two forward with birdies to finish even on the front. Made up one shot to kick the back nine off, that one was given back immediately after. Par, 2 birdies, 2 bogeys, birdie, par.

Awfully inconsistent. As if I haven't had enough of fighting against demotion and thought I might finally catch a break after finally having to give in and accept the facts, now I'm doing no services to myself by being off on every aspect or just not being focused enough or something, and I once again have to go into another battle to not finish in the demotion mark line. Maybe I'm already on vacation mode a few weeks ahead of time, but at least I can still turn things around... hopefully.

Started off with three straight pars and then two birdies in round four.
Driver off the deck set up an easy eagle on hole severn 😀.
Eleven straight birdies then bogey on the last hole 😠.
Should have been able to take the advantage of the low winds in the last round compared with the high winds in the third round.Finished with two minus threes 😞.
Be interesting what next week brings 😁.

-3, -7 = -16 for the week.

Absolutely anemic scorecard for round 3: 3 birdies, 15 pars. The perfect tale of near misses all around, nothing just went quite right.

Round 4 started off super hot with -6 in the first 9 and was looking like maybe I've finally figured some stuff out again, but then stalled for the back nine. 2 birds, 1 bogey there to finish not great but it's alright. Staying out of demotion mark fight this week at least so looking to go one way from here.

I just don't make sense anymore: bit sad that I shot a -7 round 2 last year when the game was tougher and I was a worse player. Could only match it this week, and it took pretty simple conditions to get there in the last round. I keep saying this but I think it still holds some water to it: send me for a psychological evaluation and see what happens when I play this game.

Onto next week, hopefully that last round is a form finder for the upcoming playoffs, starting to run a bit out of time to get some good rounds in!
