I've played on the TGC tours since it's inception and always been a feel player. I consistently shoot -10, -11 with an occasional high 50's, but scores of -40's get me middle of the pack in CC-A. There are constantly new players coming through the ranks killing it and shooting 54-58's as new players. My question is, are any top players playing by feel or is using yardage/wind charts and click adjustments the only way to get to the next level? Any advice on this?

Hey,
I played all iterations of the game since August 2017, and I switched from playing entirely by feel to using basic distance charts (-30ft, 0, +30) and (high headwind, no wind, high tailwind) a few weeks ago. Before that, I‘ve been in Platinum below the cut line, but mostly demo mark free, with occasional short stays in Elite. Since I started charting, I‘m making the cut a little more than 50% of the time. I didn’t change anything when it comes to my putting, which is still entirely feel-based (I try to trace a trajectory from the hole backwards).
Thus, I can certainly confirm that you can make it to Platinum without any deep scientific approach. It took some time, though. Before 2K21, Elite was the highest flight I reached.
I hope I could provide some perspective.
Cheers,
Kevin

Are these charts available online anywhere, or did you create your own?

Are these charts available online anywhere, or did you create your own? My own. You can easily create a gigantic flat surface in the designer and ‚playtest‘ the hole in whichever conditions you like. 👍

Can any top players now shooting 53 to 58 on Master Swing share some tips as to how you swing so straight?? The top players aren't hurt at all by going to the hardest game levels, but the masses here are. I've been playing this game since the 1st game, so it's not just practice. Please share?

It's probably a combination of hitting more perfects and doing more with the green reading for putts to hole more longer ones. I haven't really played master since the previous season, best I could manage on this event this week was 61, but I did find the tempo easier to control with each round I played, aside from some short periods where I couldn't find it.
