Dear TST enthusiasts,
I hope you enjoyed our visit to Europe over the last four weeks - now it's time to head back to the US for the final stretch towards the FedEx playoffs. This week, for the Twin Cities Championship, we go to Minnesota and play Highway 61 Revisited G.C., which is actually a recreation of Keller Golf Course in St. Paul. Keller Golf Course is a Championship-style course that opened in 1929, and boasts a rich history and tradition unmatched by any other public golf course in Minnesota. Keller has hosted several PGA and LPGA tour events through the years. I hope you'll enjoy the course, the benign conditions and the chance to score some FedEx points to secure your place in the playoffs.
Have fun and good luck, Frans

Bit of a tentative start this week, like every other week you may say, and limped to a -3. Rallied a little 2nd Round, must have been set up easier, and added a -6. Really enjoyable course. Another great pick. Looking forward to my final two rounds.

There was a time at the start of the season that I'd have sold my first born to get 4 rounds under par. Nowadays the bar is much higher and I've come off the 72nd hole feeling I should be better than -16. My putting is just slightly off, so many putts from 10 to 15 feet I miss by mm or lip out. Guess that's the difference between the top knobs and the brass knobs. Pretty pleased with this effort from 64 feet for a big bird, yep, I know from that distance you need luck in spades but I'll take it and shows even from a distance I'm getting things going in the right direction. Most enjoyable part of my Sunday tour round grind is TST, by far, great society, great course selections and top class Admin's!!

This Palmer fighter is going into week 7 of avoiding demotion. Think it's a tall order this week but I think I might have a weekend fighting chance left, so not conceding defeat just yet. I wouldn't know where I stand, I don't usually play rounds this early. Speaking of which...
So why the heck am I reporting this early? Well, usually I'd spend my Sunday playing casual virtual golf with a couple of buddies that also play the tours, maybe a round or 2 on this particular day. I may have planted the seed of this tour to their heads by a couple of casual mentions, final push being a mention that we have flights. They gave it a try some weeks back, seem to like it and are actually flighted so we have a group together here. This week, we played our usual round and then it hit us: what if we go in together and play as a unit, having a bit of fun that way and just hanging out?
So here we are. Was way more fun that way and only recently have I truly realized how much more fun playing rounds together with others really is.
I shot -5, -7 to sit at -12 at the half. Doing no favors not being able to score as well as I should have, but on the plus side I'm starting to really get honed in on putts breaking more subtly or not at all. This week already I think I've made about 5 or 6 putts that have been dead straight, when most weeks I'd have seen a break that doesn't exist. I have an eagle on the second round, holed out from a bunker on the 12th. Probably the first one in a while on this here tour at least, can't quite recall when have I last scored one.
No idea where I stand but I can tell I'm not anywhere near the top. Prepped to fight against demotion again sometime later this week. Course is at least nice, so if I'm struggling to survive it's great to look at something nice while I'm at it.
Cheers, and good luck!

I might take this week off, I need a week to relax after work rather than play pixel golf and it looks like I should make the cut in Elite so I'm just gonna play those rounds this week.

Gave the bogeyman one stroke in the final round. High winds caught me out a few times especially on the long last hole. Just missed out on a minus six last round, but happy enough with my minus five ๐. Looking forward to playing next week course ๐.

Surprisingly I picked up a promo mark last week so I was full of the joys of spring when I teed off in R1 this week. A couple of bogeys soon rained on that parade but I got home in -6 eventually. That was likely to put me a bit close to the demo zone so I took a few deep breaths before I started R2 and...wow, -10. The putts were dropping this time, and I was happy to let them. R3 this morning and back to reality with another -6 and more bogeys, including a particularly vexing one on the 18th. So I'm at -22 after 3 rounds, which is actually much better than I expected, joys of spring notwithstanding.
Nice course, agreeably unspectacular but some mental engagement is required with the shot choices. Enjoyable.

I completed this week's event with a bogey-free final round of -9 for a clubhouse total of -31. More than happy with that, although having gentle greens definitely helped with the campaign. As soon as we visit a course with roller-coaster greens I will be utterly screwed, but until then I shall fully enjoy being somewhere near the top of the Hogan flight table this week.
