Throwback series continues. New courses coming for the last few weeks of the season, then playoffs will be exclusively at RJ Wils courses I am thinking... This week we are at The Highlander by tpetro and some guy. A Scottish course set in, you guessed it, the highlands of the northern Scotland. This course isn't overly long, but there is still plenty of challenge to be found. The 3s are all demanding, while the 5s are all getable and the 4s are a mix of a couple that are driveable to some ones that will require long irons in. Avoid the bunkers, there are only around 20 of them, but they are true hazards that can cause chaos with a bad bounce. The back 9 will see some fireworks I think, as that is where a lot of the birdie holes are at on this course. Good luck everyone!

-28 after two this week, twin -14 rounds. Third round was a bit down, only got to -9 after a bit of a struggle on the front 9 to create/convert birdies. Then I hit a stupid grey fast into the water on 17 and wound up with a bogey. Final round tonight so I'm hoping to get it around -14 again.

So uhh... -12 first round. Looks good, putter is great, hitting nice shots. Steady, no problem. Then forgot to putt. Like, deep freeze levels of forgetting. Okay, missing the cut this week, big deal. Gonna come back stronger next week. What happens next is exactly that kind of fireworks stuff that was predicted. If I have choked a lot before, this week it's... whatever the opposite is, since I'm not familiar with that. See ya at the weekend!

First rounds in 4 months. No particular reason for the break, just didn't play. Anyway, back with a made cut :-)

2nd year in a row at the Highlander...and Hole 10, round 2 can still GFY tpetro. Even when I know what's coming and try to avoid it, I can't help but roll back off the front of the green with my 2nd shot and then take a bunch of pitches and splashes to get one to stay on the putting surface. Please bring this monster back again next summer jwtexan so hopefully I won't have a 1 putt triple for the 3rd season in row.

Quite the drab weekend of -6, -10 to finish -39. As if that's anything new. Apart from that one round where my scoring was lopsided with -1 / -10, both nines were equal: -6, -6 round 1. -3, -3 round 3. -5, -5 round 4. Couldn't quite get the same kind of scoring switch turned on at any other point (and being off on a lot of places at times doesn't help), and was probably shooting way above my actual skill level to sneak in to the weekend. Bottom 10 finisher by the looks of it, but still happy to be here and put up 4 rounds on the board whenever I can. That's my goal after all, no chance in heck I'm ready or good enough to move up so this is basically my Platinum. Cheers, good luck!
