RL FACTS:
Ash Meadows is on the edge of Death Valley, Nevada and is the largest remaining oasis in the Mojave Desert. There are 23,000 acres of wetland in the region and 10,000 gallons of water a minute rises out of the springs throughout the lakes and marshes. Ash Meadows was originally named after the abundance of ash trees in the area although today, there are very few left. This incredible landscape is made up of lakes, large marshes and dunes created by high winds over 1000’s of years. There is also a white salt crest which covers large areas of the meadows. This was caused by dissolved minerals from the surrounding limestone mountains. Today the area is a wildlife reserve however just prior to 1984, there were significant plans for large scale housing projects and infrastructure to be developed in the region. FANTASY STUFF:
While those plans for housing didn’t go through, we were recently able to get approval for a 36 hole golf complex and accommodation facilities. The original 18 I built, “Ash Meadows, Blue” was built around the outskirts of the Lower Crystal Marsh and dunes while the second 18, “Ash Meadows, Black” (published as Ash Meadows, Nevada for NT comp) was built on the opposite side of the marsh and is considered a more difficult course played largely through the hills further away from the lake. *********** The “Ash Meadows, Nevada” publish is my entry into the NT comp. I’ll just republish the same course in a week or so (as Ash Meadows, Black) but will add in the back tees, toughen up the greens and some other areas of the course for submission to the database. I’ll publish the blue course then as well.

Really looked forward to this one. Never been to Nevada but think you hit the nail on the old Sattler Head on this one! Can’t wait to play the other one when it gets done. Really enjoyed the nice bunker work. Need to get some tips from you on that 😀. Good luck on the contest but pretty sure this will go very well.

Yeah, really good work here. Green sites were fantastic, thought the par 3s played well, land movement was cool, and also, way to make the best clubhouse in the game. 2, 10, and 18 were my favorites. Will be tough to beat this one.

One word, stunning! Sitting up on the pool deck drinking a Pina Colada enjoying the afternoon rays... Oh, and the golf is alright as well.

Yeah just really good stuff here. Loved all the 3’s especially and greens were a great test at default. Gonna have to have another go around with maxed out conditions. Think it has to be said that I think everyone that plays this is gonna walk away with the clubhouse and resort housing sticking with them. Just ridiculous work on those. Can’t wait to see what the second course is gonna bring!

Great stuff, mate. This was awesome and a really fun round. Can't wait to go back and crank the conditions up as well as looking for more of the strategy stuff.
This'll go far in the contest for sure. Awesome job!

Looks great as always, it took me a while to get the tune in the video but then it clicked and makes total sense. Once the video hits the 1:40 mark it all makes sense. I went back to the beginning and of course now can hear the song perfectly. Now I just need to know where Heisenberg found the arrangement. I've come up empty looking for it.

Ohhhh Man this is the class I have come to expect and defintely didn't dissapoint. I like how you sly Austrailian put a sense of doubt int he air "I might not finish" then you just drop this bomb of a course. The planting around the marsh is chef's kiss and the clubhouse/resort homes are stellar. The holes themselves are engaging and a lot of fun to decide how to play. Great job as always!

Bro! really good job on this one. I love how you used the theme and minimized the usage of the red rock look with rough textures. Gave a nice contrast. Could have easily gone too "deserty" if you know what I mean. The bunkers stood out to me right away, thought they were really well done. Some zingers for pins, but a very fun course. I wish I was on PC as from what I could see of the buildings and off course stuff it looked cool. Looks like I have my work cut out for me. Good luck in the contest!

Another beauty here. Masterful job shaping things to make the rocky texture really pop. The beachy area to the left of #7 was really well done. Loved the creativity of the buildings (especially the curved roofs!). I rushed a few short putts and ended up with more bogeys than expected...I guess IT'S JUST THE PRIIIICE I PAY!!! Good luck in the competition.

Unique environment and excellent immersion! and I love me a challenging Plat tough course! some of those pin 1s were flying really close to the sun... but it was definitely fun.
