Spirits Promise GC is my New York entry to the TGC tours National Treasure contest. Now available on all platforms. It's a Par 72 measuring 7,383 yards from the tips with 2 tee sets and a few holes where tee manipulation was used. There are some intentional blind/semi blind shots depending on weather conditions and ball location on fairways/rough.
The course which was a big inspiration was Friars head. Like Friars head I've had some holes around big dunes, others which are more enclosed in trees and some that are more open and expansive with some holes having different combinations of each. Recommended to have fairways very firm (Highland Glitch) I do hope you enjoy your rounds. Any feedback as always is most welcome.

Hell of a course, plays great and looks great. Probably best in the competition for me. Can’t believe how well you’ve planted that on a PlayStation, your patience must be something else!

This is class Allan. You nailed the Friers inspiration with the look. Planting is immaculate. The holes themselves are a great challenge. This is definitely a contender. Great job!

Really enjoyed playing this one. I wasn't getting the NY vibes until I looked up Friar's Head. Now I'm picking up what you've put down. Beautiful planting and bunkering. Your greens had some fun undulations to them. Well done and good luck in the competition!

Best course of yours in my opinion Allan. What I love about the National Treasure Contest is that I get more knowledge of the different type of courses a particular place has to offer that I may have never realized. You nailed it here. Didn’t think New York had this type of environment but it does. Worth taking 2 minutes to google Friars Head and see for yourself if you don’t think so. Good luck but I’m sure this will do well in the contest.

Really lovely environment with natural land movement. Played very firm fairways and pin set 3. I got into a bunch of trouble on on 10 but nearly made eagle. I bumped the greens to 187 which suited the course and felt very realistic with a lot of burning the lips. Lovely planting and bunkering.

I have enjoyed all of your courses. This one may be my favorite of the bunch! Immersive environment. Challenging greens. Great hole designs. Just a complete course. Well done my man! This will fair well in the comp!

Wanted to congratulate you on this one as it’s a big step up and I think it’s got the natural hole designs that you see from the top designers. Loved 6 and 10 in particular. Super happy to see this from you, really liked the way this course traversed this plot and loved a lot of the hole ideas. Like people have said, environments with exclusively pine trees don’t exist anywhere in New York, as the mountains are about 50-60 percent deciduous trees, but I don’t think that should discourage you too much and this should still do decently well in the contest. Excited to see you continue to progress!

Thanks agrainger12 for the message and the DM and as I've said a few times it's a composite of New York environments so meets the brief as far as I'm concerned. Pines are in NY state. www.treesforme.com/ny_pinus.htmlIf the comp criteria called for exact real places within the state then that would have been different imo. Maybe that needs to be clearer for the next comp. Really appreciate the kind words. Felt pretty happy with the course that I've published. Best of luck to you in the competition.

Quality course as usual Al, planting looks great, plays tough but fair if you hit the shot, great job, be surprised if this doesn't do well on the comp, best of luck
