This one's inspired by the courses on eastern Long Island, Shinnecock mostly. The course was routed over a random plot that I created. Almost all of the contours aside from some of the green complexes were part of the original site. A constraint that I thought would force me to use the contours and run the holes over the severe terrain in a natural way. Many of the drives need to be played off landforms for best positions into pins. The greens are hard and fast with many run offs so you’ll have to dial in your distances. Thanks to B101 and Bspetty for providing feedback throughout the design. FYI. The tees are set up pretty close together so I would suggest if you play high winds moving up. Otherwise have fun! Disclaimer: the green speeds are maxed out on the publish and you might want to dial it down a bit if you want to make it a little more forgiving.

did you mean to publish it at 187s? That's a tad unfortunate

I was kind of going for this vibe. www.golfchannel.com/video/last-time-shinnecock-no-7-gets-out-controlPerhaps I should add a disclaimer about the speed and ask players to dial it down if they want a 'fun' round. To be honest, I designed it maxed out and I'd prefer it be played that way even if it might not be everyone's cup of tea....Most pins are getable and most putts should be laggable.

It's the best rjwils by far IMO and deserves the 187's

Wow just gave this one a run. Have to say, I think this is the best set of 5’s on a single course in the game. All three are just ridiculously good and so much fun.
Can really tell when a golf course was just laid on the land that was already there and think this one did one hell of a job giving off that feeling.

Really want to play this but haven't been able to find any course not created with a PS4, which is unfortunate. Looks good though!

Loved this. Really challenging which was a nice change of pace. Wide fairways that can be tough to hit if not paying attention. Grass and textures are great. Definitely got that US open style course feel. Great work. The 187's worked fine.

Im a big fan of both rjwils and Shinnecock! This is my favorite of your courses since Avery Fields, which is one of my all-time faves. Can’t wait to see a MAJOR edition with grandstands and galleries! Fantastic work, instant 5-star, and straight into my favorites.

Yeah this is another banger. Nailed the natural feeling of it just being laid on the landscape. Awesome job as always!

Fun challenge to design with those parameters in mind and it shows with some of the routing and where the greens sit. Congrats on winning the national treasure contest out of the state of New York.

Thanks for the comments guys. Much appreciated.
Hey if any of you are playing a second round I’d recommend playing on Dawn lighting and from the green tees. I almost like how the course plays more from the greens. Much tougher driving course.

Man, what a fun track! Took your advice and played the green tees at dawn. I was at a hard-fought even par through 16, but a gorgeous ace on 17 helped get me into the clubhouse at -2.
Beautiful course. I’ll be back often.
