Dear TST enthusiasts,
It's time for our third major this week: the (TGCTours) US Championship.
The Country Club in Brookline is not available to us, but I feel I've found a worthy replacement: Meadowbrook CC.
Meadowbrook was founded in 1916 and had an original 6 holes designed by Willie Park, Jr. Donald Ross was one of several architects to later work on the course, expanding it to 18 holes. Meadowbrook has a long history, including playing host to the 1955 PGA Championship.
This RCR was created by CLV and it is beautiful and perfect for our US Open... I have not gone all USGA on you by making the greens silly fast and rough silly long; the greens are firm and fast but playable, and the weather is glorious, even though there's a stiff breeze on some days.
Have fun and good luck, Frans

Lurve ANYTHING the CLV puts out, this is no exception.
Round 1: Clean -6
Round 2: Couple of Humphs but three Eddies helped this card to double digits under, -10.
-16 halfway for this scrub, can only imagine what the fancy lads and lassies do. But I have a happy pappy.
Onward!

Another week, another struggle. All of a sudden everything is missing by a few inches. Putts, chips, my hairline. Itβs becoming a little frustrating.
Roll on next Sunday!!

So far I've managed to play one hole in this tournament. Every time Frans ghost lines up for a shot the game has conniptions and crashes. I'll try again later when I'm home again π₯΄

So for some reason the game didn't like ghosts on turn order in that first round. In the end I had to remove them all and play solo which I don't really like that much but anyway. Started well with a birdie and eagle then fell in a heap after being pissed off at the constant crashes. Ended with a 67 first round. I'll try again with ghosts tomorrow and see if it's any good.

Started off well on the front nine, but two three putts(which gave me bogeys)on the back nine unravelled my good score. Chip in birdie finished 3inches from the hole, and birdie putt on the last didn't drop. Hopefully i will have better luck on the back nine in the second round π.

Spectacularly unspectacular first two rounds with a lot of chances wasted with average putting.
Round 1: -10 Round 2: -10

I'm also taking a dnf this week. Every time I go to load the round it keeps crashing so f*** it. I can't be bothered with that nonsense. I'll take whatever penalty for it and try again next week.

When i got to severn under in my first round i would get a bogey. Started round two at six under and yes when i got to severn under i bogeyed the next hole, with three putts π . Bogeyed the next hole with another three putt π π . Luckily i managed to guess well on a longish putt for birdie on the next hole to get back to six under π. Two bogey putts on the back nine to get me down to five under. Managed to birdie seventeen, and chipped in on eighteen to get to severn under again π. Fought hard to get back under par on the last three holes. Goodluck everyone π.

Sorry to hear that... Oh well it's only one week I suppose. It works fine in other societies, just this one this week is being a pile of crap for some reason.

I knew i wasn't very good at true sim,so wasn't surprised to be put into Snead league. Managed to stay under par for the front nine and get to nine under π. Messed up back nine again with a bogey putt on the tenth hole. Three putt for double bogey and three putt bogey on the last hole π . Hopefully i can have a better fourth round like last week π.

Tossed out all 4 rounds at once today. I was doing okay after 2 rounds, -10 and -6 for -16 at half so thought I would listen to myself from last week and go through with it. EDIT: and well, being -7 through first 9 for an excellent start kind of made me want to see if I could find that at any other point, spoiler alert: no I did not. Okay but mistake riddled (thanks to tempo being up and down) -7, -7 weekend to finish at -30. Highlight was a flopped in eagle during round 3 on the 12th par 5 and I almost dropped in a 100 yarder on hole 10 of the final round being just 5 inches short. Three putted a few times including on the last hole, which was kind of a bad way to end the tourney, but it happens. All in all, not sure if that keeps my head afloat in the Palmer for much longer, might still survive this week but time is running out if I can't find ways to erase marks on a week or two. Doesn't really matter to be fair, I'm either trying to fight to stick around until the end of season or accepting my place in Hogan. Whatever comes first. Wednesday mid range putt leader on PC too, as horrible as my putting can be, I can still surprise myself sometimes. Just the one post this week from me, sorry about that! Cheers, and good luck!
