i think the majority of players are getting bored with 2k21 now & just waiting on the new version /announcement/release
just hope its sooner rather than later

I know you're bored with it and I'm sure many feel the same way, but I doubt very much it's the majority. I'm still enjoying it anyway. No doubt anticipation for the new game is high though. |

A new game would be great, of course it would but I'm quite happy they dont just knock out a game every year with just a few tweaks here and there , whilst charging over 50 quid for it.
Possibly issue with marketing stuff with the LIV golf scumbags, (including UNICEF former ambassador Casey pfft) causing a bit of an issue , but general consensus was an August release.

A new game would be great, of course it would but I'm quite happy they dont just knock out a game every year with just a few tweaks here and there , whilst charging over 50 quid for it. Yes, I'm sure they're having to do some last-minute scrambling to remove those pros who have been kicked from the Tour now. They'll be thankful Tiger isn't one of them though, considering he's the big sign-up for the new game. Without any kind of announcement yet that August release date that Luke Elvy let slip with is looking increasingly unlikely though.  |

At this point if you like playing golf games what other option do you currently have? Until new release I’ll continue to play my rounds each week. I still enjoy the game. If I was a Plat player and always in the Top 10 then maybe I’d get bored because of little challenge left in the game. But I’m a CC-E player and I just try to move up a little each week. I don’t worry about cut lines anymore. I just play the best I can each week and see where the chips fall. Then Sunday the slate is wiped clean for a new week. I’m in 3 cool societies( NFL Stableford, Dirt Bags and The Brew Crew) I’ll play the TST more now as they now have flights, yes I’m in the bottom flight( Snead) but I was 3rd place last week and enjoy it more. TGC does a tremendous job of utilizing PGA 2K 21 and hopefully continue with new release as well. I basically play 2 games during my week. I play the golf game and I play Out Of Park 23 Baseball sim game. If you like baseball and not consumed with trying to hit a fastball then try OOP 23. A lot of tourneys to play vs others and so many different modes. I spent 3000 on a powerful gaming laptop but I only play my baseball sim on it. Lol And then play the PS5 with my golf. Yes, probably too narrow minded with video games but I usually stick to one game. I’ll say I got my monies worth with PGA 2K 21 |

My anticipation level is about... 5% Man, those new hair styles and t-shirts are gonna be so dope!!! Well, by then you will have 2 options with 2K and EA. Hopefully different challenges with each. I don’t expect many changes with 2K as the putting mechanic is terrific. I’m sure they might change the splash shot and make you rely more on chipping. I read some article saying they will have more options with online play. But if 2K is smart they will release their game before EA. |

Must admit the reason I've stopped is not do do with game but mixture of health and redundancy so I'm part time job hunting to make up my small pension. Just no brain time for game.
Which judging by my inconsistency shows I need as much brain space as possible:-)

Hi all,
I've obviously done a really bad job at staying updated and getting this new season going. My company is on the verge of getting new investors and a new round of funding, and I have been completely consumed with trying to get that over the finish line to secure the funding.
I haven't had any time to do anything outside of work the last two weeks, and it's going to continue until the projected transaction close date of July 22nd.
That being said, I will have no time to manage the Dirtbags or even play my rounds until then. When I say all I've done is work - I mean it. My schedule, 7 days a week, has been:
- 7am wake up, shower, go to work
- 8am at the office
- 8am to ~8pm working at the office, most of that time spent on video calls or phone calls (so realy gives me no time to get any of my actual, regular, day job done)
- ~8pm I head home and then work until I'm ready to fall asleep. Usually around midnight.
Then I sleep and do it all over again. It's been a brutal few weeks but it will be worth it in the end.
I've barely had any time to even play my 1 round per week NFL stableford rounds, and when I do play, I play like sh%$ because it's midnight and I'm tired and I'm rushing through it.
If you guys want to start the season without me, then by all means go for it. I just can't see any way I can play my rounds or run the league until this work stuff is over. Sorry to all, but let me know how you guys want to handle this.
Now I need to get back to work!

There's no point trying to shoehorn a season in at this point, with only 6 or 7 weeks of the TGCTours season left. I'm sure they are also waiting for news about the new game because they won't want to start a new season and then have the new game released a few weeks later. But perhaps they have managed to get some inside info from 2K21 about it to allow them to work out what to do next. Either way I can't see the new version coming in August. There hasn't even been a press release about it yet and that usually comes a few months before the release. October, I suspect. And I'm sorry to hear that you are so slammed at work right now Mike. Thanks for all the work you have put in on this so far, and for keeping us informed. I look forward to the next Dirtbags season, no matter when it is. |

I've been out of town for two weeks and I'm glad I didn't miss anything. I agree we should wait. There's definitely a little apathy toward the game these days, and everyone seems pretty busy. Looking forward to the new game and new season of Dirtbags when we get there!
