Dear TST enthusiasts,
This week, like the IRL PGA Tour, we travel to Texas: the Golf Club Fossil Creek in Forth Worth.
This is one of the last courses to be personally designed by Arnold Palmer himself. It's relatively short, so you monsters will probably get to -70.
But I don't care - this should be a pleasant week of (pixel) golf before next week's Major (where I'll give keeping you guys below -50 one more try).

Certainly won't be cracking -70 but -31 at the cut was as good a start as I've had in a very long time. Hardly sunk any lengthy putts as well so yeah, hitting them fairly close.
Messed up Rd3 with a wet one on 11 and a few muffed chips and not a decent putt sunk.....not quite a Jason Day but a huge let down after a great start. Rd4 much that same but went -5 in last 4 holes to tie the current PC lead at -52.
Big boys will get in the -60's I reckon.

I was unsure if I'd play this week with the qualifying thing for the platinum event on, but I got the shits at it towards the end of the first round after it glitched a swing and sent my ball OOB. Final hole I just got over it and deliberately hit 3 into some water I found to reach the stroke limit and finish at -1. So, later on today I'll start my week here 👍

What a weird game. Played mediocre in R1 and finished at 65(-7) including a water ball that forced me to re-tee rather than taking an appropriate drop leading to a double bogey and frustrated golf the rest of the way. I decided to just get R2 out of the way and played a bit quicker than usual and shot a 55(-17).

67 first round, left a lot out there unfortunately. Also hit one in the water, on 18 trying to get to the fairway on the other side, just didn't get the aim right. Would have made it if I did. Missed a straight birdie putt 🤦🏻♂️
I do like the course though.

Started off real slow this week. Was wondering after 9 holes whether or not I'll be following our gracious scheduler's path since I couldn't manage to do much right. Took me to the 13th hole and a near ace to finally get an igniter going and finally found a few birdies to climb to -7 in round 1. Much quicker start to round 2 being -5 through 9 and -7 through 12. Drivable 4 on the 12th accidentally got to me, wasn't even aiming it towards the green and took a bounce for a forced 65 foot eagle putt! Amazed how I only took 2 putts. Aaaaand then stalled out with a bogey and got to -8. So it's -15 through 2, should see me at the weekend even though I'm so average I kinda get hidden in that grey area... I don't seem to report much else at the half way point of the week lately, just getting through and achieving what is essentially my only reasonable goal every week. Cheers, and good luck!  |

64 second round. -13 after two so should make the cut. Did a bit better with the putter this time although I did miss a couple of short ones that just about broke sideways.
The internet connection shat itself right after I'd dropped a birdie putt on 10, once I'd got it all back online and reloaded the game I had to putt it again. Still made it, would have been pretty annoyed otherwise.

-4 rd, followed by -9 rd2 to hopefully make my first weekend on TST, should have been better but was a bit hot in the sun so decided to take swim on a few holes !!
