Preview of a course I’m currently working on … This is Squire Creek Country Club designed by Tom Fazio back in 2003, it’s rated the #1 course in Louisiana by Top 100 Golf Courses, Golf Digest and Golf Magazine and was ranked as one of the top 10 best new courses in America by Golf Digest in 2004. They picked a great property and It’s surprisingly hilly for this part of the country and I love courses with some rolling hills and undulations, this is my home state, the course is located about 50 minutes from me so it was a no brainer to replicate it. When they put “creek” in the name, they nailed it, I’m guessing there is over 2000+ yards of creek/s that snakes through the course and comes into play on holes 2-8 as you can see in the 1st picture below. I’ve been blessed to work with some really good designers and had my courses streamed reviewed that has helped me further my education in course design and have a great group of player/designers that I have in my circle and of course, feedback from your comments on my past courses. Now I’m blessed to get the opportunity to work with TGC’s TST Course Scheduler, Fransslabak who will assist me via Discord screen share in real time on setting the pin locations that they like to see, their method/s and thinking behind locating pins, etc…. I think this is a great opportunity to learn and would like to thank him for agreeing to help.

Thx bud ... Fransslabak, Arielatom and myself got 9 holes pinned this morning and plan to do the rest next week, we got a little chatty. It was really cool to show him some design techniques or processes that we have to do and to have him pick the 4 locations and explain why he chose those spots. He opened my eyes to a new way of looking at pins 1 & 2's locations because they are the locs used for players to make the cut. All of this has got be fired up again and to take 3 really well known courses off the shelf and start work on them again.
